Zeke

Hello there! My name is Zeke, and I was practically a pup when I came into Rescue, a 16-month-old bundle of Iggy sweetness! I had a rough time during my first year of life, though, and I was a little bit of an emotional wreck. I was also having some housebreaking issues, so I was looking for a very special family who was ready to give me all the love and attention that I needed!

After a few months in foster care, the PERFECT family came along! Niki, Bob and Diana drove halfway to meet up with my new family, who took me to my new home in an exotic place called Canada! My new family had recently lost their special needs IG, who they had adopted from a local shelter, and they were ready and willing to take on the challenge of an Iggy who needed some special love and care. They were SO thrilled to meet me, and I knew that I was their baby right away!

I now live in the lap of luxury! I don't go potty in the house anymore, and my emotions are all settled down, long before my foster people imagined they would be! I am an incredibly happy and content IG... in fact, content doesn't quite begin to cover it... I am spoiled rotten!

Blade is a Whippet. As you can see, we are inseparable!

Thanks SO MUCH to my new family and IG Rescue for giving me a second chance and a wonderful new life!

Update: My mom and I moved out into a condo on our own in Spring of 2002 and left Blade with our "grandparents." My mom thought that I would be lost, but she reports that I am actually a better dog on my own! You see, I wanted to be the leader dog in my grandparents' house and marked my territory occasionally, but in my new house I haven't had that problem at all! I go for walks four or five times every day to potty, and I am doing great on that schedule. I even go to work with my mom sometimes, and everybody loves me there! My mom also reports that I am looking as gorgeous as ever... she brushes my teeth all the time so they are still pearly whites!
