Currently the Institute is preparing three volumes for publication, to be published in
early 2010:
- Arrested and Abstracted Development - The Historical Path and Direction of Human
Conceptual and Mental Development, Where We are Today, and Where we Need to Go from Here.
The origins, beginnings, and the historical path and direction through the ages of human
conceptual and mental self-development, limits, shortcomings and contradictions. Where
today we are, the problems, difficulties and crises, conflicts, confrontations and
violence, associated results and consequences, we face and we create as a species, locally
and globally around the world today. The direction we need to take in conceptual and
mental development and growth to deal with and move beyond the problems we face. The
volume sets out the conceptual foundation and framework of the work of IHCMD.
- Inside the Mind - Understanding and Managing from the Inside Where we Consciously Exist
and Act. The volume deals with the mind, mental existence and mental development.
Understanding and managing from the inside where we consciously exist and act, where we
experience, become aware and must consider the conditions of existence, and how to deal
with them. Understanding and managing from the inside what takes place, what we do and
need to do, what we must establish, develop and maintain in the mind and mental existence.
- Mental Problems / Problems of the Mind - De-Stigmatizing Mental Problems and
Demystifying the Mind and Mental Existence. It is a companion volume to the public service
website, Mental Problems / Problems of the Mind, provided by IHCMD at http://www.ihcmd.org/mentalproblems.
Dealing with mental problems, demands and challenges through active individual mental
engagement, individual mental work and effort, understanding and managing the mind and
mental existence from the inside.
