What is the
Evidence and Proof?
What is the evidence behind the approach, view and understanding, and what is the proof
it works? The approach, view and understanding are backed up by 20 years of research,
study and development understanding and managing the mind, mental existence and mental
development from the inside. However, this is not the real evidence or the proof that the
approach works. The real evidence lies within each one of us. They lie in the experience
and awareness of our own mind and mental existence, the conditions, needs, demands, and
challenges, what takes place and what we do. We have the evidence and the proof
individually within us.
We may lack clarity of mind and understanding, not have a clear and detailed picture of
the mind and mental existence, the conditions, needs, demands and challenges, how to
understand and manage them. We may not have a clear picture and understanding of what
takes place and what we do, what we need to do, what we must establish, develop and
maintain, our role and responsibility in the mind and mental existence. We may lack
clarity of mind and understanding about our mental needs and how to meet them, our mental
faculties, our natural mental powers and abilities, how to develop and use them, the
mental work and effort that are required.
Nevertheless, we experience, we are aware, and we have a sense of them. It is our
individual role and responsibility to establish clarity of mind and understanding about
them. We may find it difficult, not knowing how to go about it, lacking the skills and
practices that are required. Developing our mental faculties, the required mental powers
and abilities, mental skills and practices is part of the role and responsibility in our
mind and mental existence that by nature are individually ours to understand and manage.
Sense of Mental Conditions, Needs, Demands and Challenges
We experience, we are aware, and we have a sense of the conditions, demands and challenges
of the mind and our mental existence. We are aware of consciously existing and acting in
the mind. We are aware and we have a sense of being in charge, in control, having to be
actively engaged and take responsibility for what takes place and what we do in the mind
and mental existence, although we may choose not to acknowledge or accept it.
We experience, we are aware, and we have a sense of our mental needs, and that we must
meet them in the mind through individual mental work and effort. We are aware of the need
for a sense of self, an identity, a sense of who and what we are. We experience and are
aware of the need for a sense of order and stability, clarity of mind and understanding, a
sense of certainty, security and confidence about the conditions of existence and the
world around us, and how to deal with them. We experience, we are aware, and we have a
sense of the need for relevance and recognition, to be recognized by others for who and
what we are, and to be relevant, to play a role and contribute to existence of others.
Moreover, we are aware and we have a sense of the need to interact, connect, communicate
and cooperate mentally and physically with other human beings. We also experience, we are
aware and we have a sense our mental needs cannot be met externally, in material ways
through the accumulation, possession and consumption of material resources and goods.
Sense of Mental Faculties, and Need to Develop Them
We have a sense about our mental faculties, our natural mental potential, natural mental
powers and abilities. We also are aware and we have a sense that in order to use them we
must first develop them. They do not develop on their own. Developing them requires
conscious and deliberate mental work and effort, exercise and practice. We have a sense
and we are aware of the mental power and ability to be mentally alert, active and engaged,
and to direct, focus and concentrate the mind and attention. We have a sense of the power
and ability of mental discipline and mental flexibility. The power and ability to direct,
focus and concentrate the mind and attention on a given issue, experience, thought or idea
for a given period of time, and the power and ability to redirect the mind and attention
on demand, to focus and concentrate on a different issue, experience, thought or idea.
We are also aware of the mental power and ability to visualize, see, and form clear and
detailed images, pictures and larger conceptual structures in the mind. We are aware and
have a sense of the mental power and ability to reason, to deduce and conclude from the
given, from our experience about what lies behind them. The power and ability to consider
issues, experience, perceptions, sensations, feelings, thoughts and ideas at some length,
in depth and detail to establish clarity of mind and understanding about them. Moreover,
we are aware about our mental power and ability to recall and recollect from memory. We
also are aware or have a sense about the need to process, to consider what enters the
mind, before it slips into memory, to be able to recall it from memory.
Sense of What Takes Place
We experience, we are aware and we have a sense of what takes place in the mind and mental
existence -- experience, perceptions, sensations and feelings, thoughts and ideas that
enter the mind and our awareness. We are aware and we have a sense they inform us about
the conditions of existence, our own mental and physical existence and development, and
the world around us. However, we also are aware that the experience, perceptions,
sensations and feelings, thoughts and ideas that enter our mind do not impress themselves
fully, in all their details or with clarity on our awareness. They do not on their own
order and arrange themselves in the mind and awareness. They do not form clear and
detailed images and pictures in the mind about the conditions, demands and challenges of
existence, our own mental and physical existence and development, and the world around us
that lie behind them and how to deal with them.
We also experience and we are aware the experience, perceptions, sensations and feelings,
thoughts and ideas that enter our mind and awareness if not dealt with, will lead to
mental disorder and instability, doubt and confusion, uncertainty and insecurity. They
lead to questions, doubt and confusion, uncertainty and insecurity about the conditions of
existence, which lie behind and which are reflected in our experience, and how to deal
with them.
Moreover, we experience, we are aware and we have a sense that our first impressions and
instant reactions, speculating and jumping to conclusions about what enters our mind and
awareness leads to feelings of disturbance, unease, apprehension, discomfort, distress,
annoyance or irritation. Feelings, that if not addressed will develop into more serious
feelings of worry, fear, anger, stress, anxiety, frustration, hostility or depression
about the conditions, demands and challenges of existence and the world around us, and how
to deal with, respond and adjust to them.
Sense of What We Do and Need To Do
We experience, we are aware, and we have a sense of what we do in the mind. We also have a
sense of what we need to do, what we must establish, develop and maintain in the mind and
mental existence. We experience and we are aware of acting in the mind. Responding and
reacting to what takes place, what enters the mind and our awareness, experience,
perceptions, sensations and feelings, entertaining thoughts, ideas, dreams and fantasies
about the conditions, demands and challenges of existence and the world around us, and how
to deal with them.
We are aware also of the need to deal with, consider, make sense, and establish clarity of
mind and understanding about the experience, perceptions, sensations and feelings that
enter the mind and awareness, the conditions that lie behind them and how to deal with
them. We have a sense of the need to establish and maintain a sense of self, a sense of
order and stability, clarity and coherence, certainty and security in the mind and mental
existence. We have a sense about the need to establish the necessary internal mental
conditions, before engaging and dealing with external conditions, with others and the
world around us. We are aware of making and having to make choices and decisions, deciding
aims, goals and objectives, considering, planning, organizing and managing our behaviour
and actions.
We may not pay close attention to the understanding, the mental images and pictures we
establish in the mind and on which we act. The choices and decisions we make, and how we
make them, the aims, goals and objectives we pursue and how we decide them, the behaviour
and actions in which we engage, and how we consider, plan, organize and manage them.
However, we are aware and we have a sense of doing so. We also have a sense that we can,
if we choose to do so, be more aware, clear about, in charge and in control of the
understanding, mental images and pictures we act on, and how we develop them. We can be
more aware, clear about, in charge and in control of the choices and decisions we make,
and how we make them, the aims, goals and objectives we pursue, and how we define them,
the behaviour and actions in which we engage, how we consider, plan, organize and manage
them.
Sense of Falling Short, Making Errors and Mistakes
We experience, we are aware, and we have a sense when we fall short, when we make errors
and mistakes in what we do in the mind; whether we pay attention, focus and concentrate or
whether we are impatient, undisciplined and careless in what we do. In addition, we are
aware and we have a sense of the results and consequences of what we do, when we fall
short, when we make errors and mistakes in the mind.
We are aware of the development in the mind of problems, difficulties and crises. We are
aware or we have a sense they are the results and consequences of what we do or fail to
do, errors and mistakes we make in what we do in the mind and mental existence. They are
the results and consequences of avoiding, denying and ignoring mental needs, demands and
challenges, our role and responsibility, what we must do, establish, develop and maintain
in the mind and mental existence. Avoiding, denying or ignoring experience, perceptions,
sensations and feelings that enter the mind and awareness, the disorder and instability,
doubt and confusion, uncertainty and insecurity they create. We are aware or we have a
sense the results and consequences of relying on, or limiting ourselves to first
impressions and instant reactions, speculating, heading off on tangents and jumping to
conclusions are feelings of worry, fear, stress, anxiety, frustration or depression.
We are aware or we have a sense that chronic, persisting and growing mental problems and
difficulties are the results and consequences of operating at the level of feelings,
emotions and memory, memorized external guides and instructions, beliefs, views, values
and conventions. They are the results of failing to consider and make sense of the
experience, perceptions, sensations and feelings, thoughts and ideas that enter our mind
and awareness. They are the result of failing to address feelings of disorder and
instability, doubt and confusion, uncertainty and insecurity about the conditions of
existence and the world around us, and how to deal with them. We have a sense that larger
mental problems, difficulties and crises result from failing to deal with worry, fear,
stress, anxiety, frustration and depression through addressing the conditions that lie
behind them.
Sense of Direction of Answers And Solutions
We have a sense about the direction of the answers and solutions to mental problems and
difficulties, how to correct, change and improve what takes place and what we do in the
mind and mental existence. We have a sense of what we need to do in the mind and mental
existence, the mental work and effort in which we must engage, and the mental faculties we
need to develop, exercise and practice. We have a sense about the need to consider and
make sense of the experience, perceptions, sensations and feelings, thoughts and ideas
that enter our mind and awareness, the conditions that lie behind them and how to deal
with them. We know, we have a sense it requires time, mental work and effort, going over
them more than once, considering them at some length, in depth and detail to establish
clarity of mind and understanding them, forming clear and detailed images and pictures in
the mind about them.
We are aware and we have a sense we need to deal with mental disorder and instability,
doubt and confusion, uncertainty and insecurity through addressing the conditions that lie
behind them. We are aware and we have a sense they are not permanent mental conditions and
they are not mental illness. They are the result of the experience, perceptions,
sensations and feelings that enter the mind and awareness. We know and we are aware our
experience, perceptions, sensations and feelings do not order and arrange themselves and
they do not on their own form clear and detailed pictures in the mind about the conditions
that lie behind them, and how to deal with them. We also know that we need to establish
clarity of mind and understanding about our experience, the conditions that lie behind
them and how to deal with them to address and resolve mental disorder and instability,
doubt and confusion, uncertainty and insecurity about them.
We know, we are aware and we have a sense we need to deal with and move beyond feelings of
worry, fear, anger, stress, anxiety, hostility, frustration and depression. They are the
results and consequences of first impressions and instant reactions to what enters the
mind and awareness -- experience, perceptions, sensations and feelings, what behind them,
and the conditions they create in the mind and mental existence. We know, we are aware or
we have a sense that to move beyond feelings of worry, fear, stress, anxiety, frustration
and depression we need to deal with the conditions that lie behind them. We need to deal
with disorder and instability, doubt and confusion, uncertainty and insecurity about the
conditions of existence and the world around us that lie behind and that are reflected in
our experience, and how to deal with them.
We are aware and we have a sense we need to meet our mental needs in the mind through
individual mental work and effort, not meeting them in material terms through the
accumulation and consumption of material goods and values. Establish and maintain a sense
of order and stability, clarity of mind and understanding, a sense of certainty, security
and confidence in the mind. Establish a sense of self, an identity, through establishing a
clear picture of the mental self, what takes place and what we do in the mind, how we
respond and deal with what enters our mind and awareness. We know, we are aware or we have
a sense we cannot establish a sense of self, a sense of the human self, through
material-financial possessions or socio-cultural positions, roles, functions, status or
power. We also have a sense or awareness we need to meet our mental need for relevance and
recognition through interacting, connecting, communicating and cooperating with others,
not through competing with them for the accumulation, possession, control and consumption
of material-financial resources, goods and values, or socio-cultural positions, roles and
functions, status, power and influence.
We know, we are aware of have a sense that we need to develop, through conscious and
deliberate exercise and practice, our mental faculties, our natural mental potential,
mental powers and abilities in order to use them. We are aware they do not develop on
their own. They require conscious and deliberate exercise and practice, work and effort.
We are aware and we have a sense of our ability to change, correct and improve what we do
in the mind to bring about different results and outcomes. We can change and improve what
we do in the mind and how we go about it, be more effective and efficient if we pay
attention, invest the necessary time, work and effort. We are aware and we have a sense we
can avoid falling short, repeating errors and mistakes. We can change and improve the
results and outcomes of what we do and how we do things, if we pay attention, focus and
concentrate on what we do and how we do things, if we invest the necessary time, mental
work and effort.
Lastly, we recognize and accept that others, high-performance athletes for example, engage
in mental work and effort, mental training and coaching to establish the necessary
internal mental conditions to be more effective, efficient and successful in their
physical actions, in what they set out to accomplish. They try to establish mental order
and stability, clarity of mind and understanding, and a sense of certainty, security and
confidence about what it is they set out to do, try to accomplish, and how to go about it.
