Frequently Asked Questions |
1. How can I join? - Just come to one of our meetings, sign up and join the IHSA national. 2. I don't have any show experience, can I still ride? - Of course, we'd be happy to have anyone come out and ride with us. We teach little clinics and lessons for all abilities, just takes your interest. 3. How much do the shows cost? - The classes are $20 each. Typically you will only be in one class per show. The exceptions are if you ride both english flat and jumping or open western flat and reining. 4. Do I need a horse at school? - No. If you practice with the team we can all share horses. If you are able to bring a horse it is muchly appreciated. It is easier to have more than one practice horse and we are in need of horses when we host shows at Cal Poly. 5. Can I show my own horse? - You can not be guaranteed to ride your own horse in a show. Riders are matched with a horse randomly. 6. Where should I keep my horse and how much is it? - You can look at the list of barns and the best way to find out cost and availability is to call them. We are still working on keeping horses at the Rodeo Unit, if you are interested e-mail me and I'll give you more info. 7. Do you have any scholarships or financial aide available? - There are a few scholarships available through the National IHSA, please ask them about it. We do not have anything available directly through our school or club. 8. I still have specific questions, who can I ask? - You can e-mail me or one of the captains. We would be happy to answer any questions and if we can't help you, we will try and find somone that can. |
