Chappie One

“Hey hunni!” Sofia’s mom said to her as she walked in the house after going to her dad’s.
“Hey mommy…guess what I’m 9 tomorrow!” Sofia said happily.
“I know you are darling, but its getting late, you need to go to bed,” Her mother said.
“Oh…but mummy!” Sofia moaned
“No buts, the quicker you go to bed, the quicker you can open your presents”
“Yeah ok night mom!!” She gave her mom a kiss on the cheek and ran upstairs to bed.

Sofia’s parents had been divorced for 1year and her mother Melanie, got custody; Sofia visited her Father Nathan Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, her parents always used to fight, her mum would always be depressed and her father always drunk. This left a very deep emotional scar in Sofia.
Her sister Annie was at University in New York, studying Law. Sofia was a very pretty Nine-year-old; she had very fair skin, wavy brown hair and big brown eyes. She was a Taurean and had always been very strong headed, she always knew what she wanted and what she wanted to get out of life, even though she was very young, her mates were very similar to her, especially her best friend Corrine. They were both born on the same day and were extremely close, they were both into witchcraft, they were easily influenced and they had both decided that they were going to prevent themselves from falling in love, just like the girl from ‘Practical Magic’ although, it would have helped if they had stayed to watch the whole film. (Lol)

It was Saturday 3^rd May and Sofia had woken her mom up.
“Mooooooooom!!!! WAKE UP!!” She shouted loudly which made her mother bolt upright in her bed.
“I’m awake Hun” She said drowsily.
“Can we open my presents?” Sofia asked excitedly, her mother knodded and took her downstairs.
“WOOW!” Sofia exclaimed when she saw all the presents, there must’ve been at least 40 odd gifts for her.
She ran over and opened them all, her two favourites were a pink angel diary and a Book of spells for love and success.
“Thanks mummy!” She said happily then added “can I go round to Corrine’s I want to show her these”
“Sure, see you later.”
“Bye mom” She said as she ran out of the door and knocked on another door 2 houses away. Corrine opened and shouted “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” at the same time as Sofia.
“OHMIGOD! Look what my mom got me!” Sofia said as she walked into Corrine’s house showing her the diary and the spell book.
“WOW! I GOT THOSE TOO!” Corrine said happily.
“Shall we do the spell from Practical Magic? The one so we don’t fall in love with yucky ooky boys? You know the one where she described her perfect man?” Sofia said.
“Yeah ok!”
“Cool!”
