The next morning Sofia woke up pretty early after all she had to do the cooking, the cleaning and look good for her dad and Ben.
"Mum, I’m going shopping I’ll see you in about half an hour"
"OK, but be safe Sofia"
"I will!" Sofia said as she walked out of the house. She reached her local supermarket and bought everything she needed for her special meal, then headed back home.
As soon as she got home, she started chopping the onions, grating the cheese, chopping the tomatoes and basically preparing her meal. Four to five hours later, she had made a lasagne a pasta bake and lots of other dishes, she has also made 3 different types of desserts. If you hadn’t guessed already, she loved cooking.

Another 2 hours later and Sofia was out of the bath and nearly ready, her mother was ready and looked really pretty.
There was a knock at the door, it was Sofia’s father Nathan, he was dressed smartly even though they were staying at home.
"Mum, will you answer the door I’m not ready"
"Yeah OK then" She said and answered.
"Hello, Melanie"
"Hello, Nathan" Before they could start arguing, there was another knock at the door.
"Ah, that will be Ben"
"Who’s Ben?" Nathan asked curiously.
"He’s Sofia’s friend"
"MOM! Answer the door I’m not ready!!" Sofia shouted down.
"OK, but it’s your friend!!" As soon as Sofia heard that, she ran down the stairs and neatened herself up. She looked at her mum, who could tell she had a crush on Ben and said "Do I look OK?" Her mum nodded and pushed her towards the door. Sofia took a deep breath and then answered. Ben looked absolutely amazing; he was wearing a gorgeous black suit.
"Hey Sof" he said as he handed her a bunch of mixed red and white roses and a box of chocolates.
"H..hi…thanks…" She said and let him in. He walked into the house and smiled.
"Hi, I’m Sofia’s father Nathan."
"Hello I’m Ben" Ben said as he put his hand out to shake Nathan’s. Nathan put his hand out obliged.
"Oh, Sof, I got you and pressie!" Nathan said and pointed to a box with airholes. Sofia ran straight over to it and opened it, to reveal the most gorgeous male Puppy!
"OH MY GOD!!! DAD YOU’RE THE BEST I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" She said as she ran up and hugged him.
"I know I am darling." He said grinning. Sofia ran back to the puppy and picked him up and smile.
"Hello Sam!!" She said.
"Sam?" her dad said and raised an eyebrow.
"Well, it’s gotta have a name pops!"
"I think it’s a cute name" Ben said. Sofia smiled. She carried the puppy over to where Ben was and they started playing with it. Melanie and Nathan could see how much both Ben and Sofia liked each other, it seemed that it was evident to everybody but the two themselves.
"Right, who wants dinner? I cooked!!"
"Oh…guuu-reat…so I can expect food poisoning?"
"Dad, that’s so not nice!" Sofia said pretending to be hurt.
