"In love with an angel"

Chapter two…

"Uncle John!" Christie exclaimed as we saw her tall and skinny uncle walk towards us at the airport.

She ran to him andgave him a hug.

"It's such a long time since I saw you," he said hugging her back.

"Not since… Christmas I think," Christie said.

"Hello Sarah," John said as he looked at me.

"Hi John, how are you?" I said polite as we hugged.

"So, looking forward to a month in London?" he asked us.

"Yeah!" me and Christie said excited.

"I think you'll like the apartment as well, it's just been renovated."

Then he took us to the place we were going to call home for the next weeks.

The flat was situated just in the outskirts of the centre of London city. It was a small, red building with white areas around the windows. Quite cute actually.

And inside it was very nice as well.

When we came in the door we stood in a little hall containing only a drawer and a rack of clothes-hangers.

"This is the living room," John said as we walked further in.

There was a TV, a sofa and a coffee table in the middle of the room, and a dining table with four chairs around it in one corner. In another corner there was a hi-fi and a CD rack.

'Very nice!' I thought.

"In there's the bathroom," John said as he pointed to a door beside the hi-fi.

"It's not that big but there's room for a bathtub and you can still turn around in there," he added smiling.

"Kitchen over there," he continued. It was a small kitchen with a long bench and a cooker. Plus a cupboard in the corner and a fridge.

Then, back in the living room there was another two doors.

"That's the bedrooms, you'll have to fight over who's sleeping where," John said joking.

"Okay, so that's your apartment. What do you think?" he asked.

"It's brilliant! I love it," Christie said happily. I agreed.

"I have to leave now because I've got something to take care of. And by the way, aunt Leslie sends her love," John said.

"Say hello from us," Christie said before she and her uncle hugged again.

"Goodbye," both me and Christie said and then he left.

"Wow, I can't believe we're gonna live here for a month," I said.

"I know, it's gonna be fun," Christie grinned.

"Okay, I want the biggest bedroom," I shouted as I ran towards the door at the left.

"No, I wanted that one," Christie said.

"How come you always win at these things," she complained. I laughed.

"You're too slow, you have to be quicker."

"Oh well, I guess the other one's not too bad either," she sighed.

"Hey, I like this," I said as I entered my bedroom. It was quite cosy with a double bed in the middle and a bedside table, and a wardrobe in the corner.

There was also a window, from which you could see our tiny back yard and then out on a street.

Finally there was a small table with a mirror and a lamp.

'I think I'm gonna like it here,' I thought and smiled.

I started un-packing and thought about the things I wanted to see and do while we were in London.

I was quite tired after travelling for many hours and decided I'd stay infor the rest of the evening. It was already 5am and I was a bit hungry.

Then Christie knocked on the door.

"Come in Christie," I said as I finished my un-packing.

"Do you like it?" she asked me.

"Yeah, it's great," I said smiling.

"What's yours like?"

"Come and see for yourself," Christie said and proudly showed me her room.

"Ta da!"

"Cool," I said. It contained mostly the same furniture as mine but it was placed in the opposite parts of the room.

"But I like mine better," I said and giggled.

"Yeah yeah… So what do you wanna do now?" Christie asked.

"I'm a bit tired really," I said and stretched my arms.

"So I think I'll wait with the whole sightseeing and shopping thing until tomorrow."

"Okay. We could eat now and then watch a movie or something," Christie proposed.

We watched Vanilla Sky starring Tom Cruise, which I had brought with me from Norway.

After countless "Aww!", "Oh my God!" and "He's so handsome!"s we both went to bed.
