Chapter four…
We met Ben at the coffe bar
that night, and he gave both of us a hug as he said,
"Hiya girls! So where
d'you wanna go?"
"Take us to your fave
place," I said.
"Okay then. Come
on," he said as he started walking.
Then he took us to a club
not too far away. It was already packed with people.
Ben bought us all drinks
and we sat down and chatted for a while. He was so funny and very cute. He made
me laugh all the time!
Suddenly he asked me to
dance with him.
"Is that okay with
you?" I asked Christie.
"Sure, I've actually
spotted a very nice-looking lad over there so you guys go and have fun,"
she smiled.
Ben took my hand and we
moved out to the dance floor. I noticed he was a very good dancer.
"Are you enjoying yourself?"
Ben asked after a while.
"Yeah, I'm having a
great time," I answered smiling.
"Good," he said
before smiling that angelic smile of his.
Then a ballad came on and
the couples started dancing really close. Ben looked at me as if to ask if we
could do the same and I laid my arms around his neck. He surrounded my waist
with his arms.
Soon I rested my head on
his shoulder and I felt a prickle on my skin. It was a weird feeling.
Another slow song played
and suddenly me and Ben were facing, looking into each other's eyes. His eyes
were so beautiful, I felt like I drowned in them.
Then he leant down and
brushed his lips against mine. A shiver went down my spine as we pulled away. I
smiled at him and he grinned back.
Before I knew it we stood
against the wall kissing like we were the only people there.
Suddenly we heard a voice
coughing and saying,
"I'm sorry to
interrupt you guys but I just wanted to tell you that I'm about to leave."
It was Christie. We quickly
pulled away and turned around.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I'm tired and
I want to go to bed," she said.
I looked at my watch and
saw it was already past midnight.
"Oh, I'll go with you
then, it is getting late," I said.
"You really don't have
to if you'd rather be here," Christie said.
"No, I'm actually
quite tired as well."
"Is it okay Ben?"
I asked him.
"Of course," he
answered before asking,
"Maybe we could meet
up somewhere tomorrow?"
"Sure, I'll give you
my number," I said.
Then he got my phone number
and I got his.
He kissed me one last time
before we left.
"You two seemed to
have a pretty good time," Christie said grinning.
"Yeah, we did," I
said.
"But what happened
with that guy you mentioned earlier?" I asked.
"Well, it turns out
that he's got a girlfriend, so I didn't have much of a chance there," she
said.
"It's so unfair! It's
always you who get the guys," she said pretending to be mad.
"Ha ha! Aww, you'll
find someone," I said comforting.
"And I do not get
all the boys!"
"Yes you do!" Christie
argued.
"Then I guess it's
just luck…"
"Yeah right…"
