Chapter five…
The next morning I woke up
by the phone, which was actually ringing this time.
"Hello," I said
tired.
"Hi Sarah, it's Ben
here," Ben's cheerful voice said back.
"Didn't wake you up,
did I?"
"Um… Yes you did,
actually," I answered as I yawned.
"Oh, sorry," he
said laughing a bit.
"It's alright," I
said.
"Since it's you…"
"I was just wondering
if you were up to something tonight," Ben asked.
"Nope," I said.
"So, do you want to do
something with me then?"
"Of course! I'd love
to," I exclaimed.
So we decided he'd pick me
up in his car (yes, he does have one! Whohoo!) that evening and then we would
go to get something to eat and then to the cinema.
I couldn't wait!
"What's up?"
Christie asked when I nearly jumped into the living room.
"I'm going on a date
with Ben tonight," I said happily.
"Ah, should have
guessed by that smile on your face," she grinned.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was nearly 7am and I was
getting ready to meet Ben. The choice of clothes had fell on a pair of black
trousers and a red top which went to just above my belly-button. I had a black
jacket over it as well.
"Is this okay?" I
asked Christie nervously after I'd finished my hair and make-up.
"You look great,
hun," she said smiling.
"I'm going out
tonight, I wanna see some more of this city," she continued.
"Alright, have fun
then," I said.
"You too, good
luck," she grinned and hugged me.
"And remember,
tomorrow I want every single detail, alright?"
"Alright," I
grinned.
Then she went out the door
and left me alone.
Just a couple of minutes
later the doorbell rang.
'Oh God,' I thought.
'It's him! What if Christie
lied and I look awful,' some
nasty voice inside me said.
'Sarah! Pull yourself
together and go open that bloody door before he gets tired of waiting and
leaves without you!' I
thought.
So I did.
I opened the door to see
Ben's cheerful-looking face. He looked wonderful!
He wore a white sleeveless
t-shirt with a leather jacket over it and some jeans, which showed off his veery
nice body..!
"Hi," I said
before I let him in. Just after I'd closed the door Ben came from behind and
turned me around and kissed me passionately.
"I've been longing to
do that ever since you left last night," he said grinning as we pulled
away.
"I've missed
you!"
"Aww, I missed you
too," I said back looking into his blue eyes. We kissed again.
"You look great by the
way," he said.
"Thanks, you do too! Let
me just go and get my bag," I said.
"Cool flat," Ben
said while I was in my room.
"You think so?" I
said as I got out again.
"Yeah, it's much
cleaner than mine," he grinned. I giggled.
"Shall we go
then?" I said. He nodded and then we left.
We went to a really nice
restaurant and ate some Chinese food. We talked about anything and everything
and I had the greatest time.
"Sarah, can I ask you
something?" Ben asked.
"Uh-huh," I
answered.
"I know it might be a
bit rude to ask but…"
"…How many boyfriends
have you had?"
'Just that? I'd been
expecting something a lot worse.'
"Um… Not many," I
answered.
"Two or three maybe,
but it was nothing that lasted for more than three months…"
"Oh… Do you easily get
tired of boys then?" he asked.
"Nah, I think it's
just because we simply didn't fit together," I said.
"Do you think we'll
fit then?" Ben asked.
"If I didn't think so
I wouldn't have gone out with you Ben," I answered smiling. He smiled too.
"So what movie do you
want to see?" Ben asked when we were finished eating and walking towards
the cinema.
"Um… I don't
know," I said. I hadn't really thought about it.
"Well, there's Charlie's
Angels…" Ben proposed.
"Oh, I've wanted to
see that," I said.
"Then Charlie's
Angels it is," Ben grinned.
We found our seats at the
cinema about ten minutes before the movie was supposed to start.
"Do you want some
popcorn?" Ben asked me.
"Sure, if you
do," I said.
"Okay, I'll go and get
it."
When he came back the movie
began. He laid his arm around me.
The film was good, even
though I spent half of the time looking at Ben when he didn't notice…
When it was over Ben asked,
"Did you like
it?"
"Yeah, it was
good," I said.
"Even when you were
looking at me?" he asked and smiled cheekily.
I blushed, I didn't think
he'd seen that.
"Um… well…" I
mumbled. Ben grinned and pulled me closer.
"I've had a brilliant
time tonight Sarah," he said as he looked into my eyes.
"I really like being
with you. I just want you to know that."
"I like being with you
too," I said and gave him a smile.
Then he kissed me. I loved
when he did that. He was so tender and passionate.
"Come on, I'll take
you home," he said.
Standing outside my flat
Ben ran his fingers through my dark hair.
"I've really enjoyed
this Ben," I said to him.
"That's good. I hope
you wanna see me again," he said.
"Of course I want to
see you again! I really like you," I smiled.
"Are you busy
tomorrow?" he asked.
"Actually, I am. I'm
going out with Christie. Sorry," I explained.
"How about Sunday? It's
not much to do in the city then but we could just stay in and rent a movie or
something," Ben proposed.
"I'd like that,"
I said.
"So… Am I coming here
or am I taking you to my place?"
"I'd like to see your
flat," I said.
"Okay, so it's my
place then?" he asked.
"Uh-huh," I
answered.
"Well, I guess I
should go now," Ben said before he cupped my face in his hands and leaning
in to kiss me.
It started as a gentle one
but after a while we let the kiss go deeper and deeper. Soon Ben had pushed me
against the door and we were totally in another world.
Eventually we pulled away
and smiled at each other.
"I'll call you
tomorrow," Ben said. I nodded.
"Good night,
Sarah," he said as he started walking.
"Good night,
Ben."
As I came in the door I
looked at the watch. Whoa, it was 12.30pm. Didn't matter anyway, I'd had a
great time and I couldn't wait to see Ben again.
Christie was no-where to be
seen so I guessed she was asleep.
I went into my own bedroom
and got changed.
I fell asleep with a smile
on my face.
