Okay, you finally get to see who she’s picked, ooooh, the
suspense! hehehe
Sammie waited
until the room went quiet.
"Um, I guess I'll have to say goodbye to
number . . . three" The audience cheered.
"Well chuck, you gave up the lovely
Christian, he lives in London, but bless him, he's been everywhere. Where are
you Christian?" Christian got off his stool and made his way around the
partition, Sammie stood up to greet him. When she saw him she gasped, and
almost forgot to give him a hug. He wrapped his arms around her and she
eventually hugged him back. She leaned closer on the pretence of giving him a
small kiss on the cheek and whispered in his ear
"Are Ben and Mark back there?"
Christian gave her a little squeeze.
"Sure are. Good luck" he whispered
back, and kissed her, then moved on to Cilla. After he walked away, Cilla
turned back to Sammie.
"Aw, how could you turn down the wonderful
Christian?"
"Well, I had to lose one of them"
"Okay then chuck, what's your last
question?"
Sammie faltered. She couldn't believe she was
going to ask it now she knew who was listening. Ben and Mark noticed the
silence and gave each other a curious look, then looked at the partition.
"Um" Sammie started, blushing again,
"Well, my favourite band is a1" Ben and Mark laughed, and the
audience cheered. Sammie waited until they stopped, and carried on "and
um, if you were in the band which one would you be and what would you do to
impress me? And that's to number two"
Mark quickly tried to stop laughing, cleared his
throat and sat up.
"Well, if I was one of a1, I'd be Ben with
curtains, cos usually that fact in itself is impressive enough" Sammie
giggled, and realised that Mark had just answered, and she was about to talk to
Ben again. She wasn't nervous this time.
"And number one?"
"Well, Sammie my darling, if I was lucky
enough to be in that good looking and talented band" he winked and the
audience laughed "I'd beeeee . . . Mark, cos then I'd be able to play
anything I want on the keyboard with no practice, which I think is really
impressive" Mark pretended to act flattered, and said something to Ben,
covering his microphone.
On the other side of the partition, Cilla was
talking again.
"Well chuck, that's all your three
questions. So, who are you going to choose, number one or number two?"
Sammie, still blushing, sat up a little
straighter.
"Well Cilla, I think it's going to have to
be . . . . . number one" The audience immediately reacted with cheers and
catcalls. Cilla waited until the floor manager had calmed everyone down.
"Okay Sammie, you chose Ben from London.
Where are you Ben?" She said finally. Ben walked around the partition, and
made a beeline for Sammie. She stood up and hugged him awkwardly, while he
squeezed her tightly. They broke apart long enough for Ben to hug and kiss
Cilla, and then he turned and did the same to Sammie again. Cilla finally broke
them apart, and turned to the camera, acting as though they were about to take
a break. After a few moments she started her speech again as though the adverts
were finished. Sammie looked at Ben, wondering if he thought it was a bit
weird. He was already looking at her, and smiled when she looked at him.
Apparently, this was normal on TV, Ben didn't seem to think anything of it.
Sammie smiled back, and turned to Cilla, who was speaking to her.
"So chuck, this is always the hard bit, are
you going to ditch or date?" Sammie had forgotten this part. She looked at
Ben again, who was giving her puppy dog eyes and winked. She smiled back at
him.
"Oh, Cilla, how could I resist a look like
that? I'm going to have to date him" Ben smiled and hugged her again.
Cilla called for Mark to come over, and Sammie broke away from Ben to hug Mark
and apologise. Mark waved it away smiling and hugged Cilla, then walked away,
towards Christian.
Cilla pulled out three cards and offered them to
Ben and Sammie. Ben made her pick the envelope, so she did, and handed it to
him to read out.
"Oh, cool, a trip to the Maldives" he
said once he'd skimmed over it. Cilla wished them luck, and Ben took Sammie’s
hand gently, and led her away, back to where she had been waiting before.
Sammie waited until the room went quiet.
