“You can’t go to war how will the band cope and what about me I’ll miss you” said a tearful Ellie.

“I have to go they need me” said Ben

“I need you” said Ellie who was now crying.

“You’ll be fine I’ll ask Mark to keep an eye on you” said Ben

“I don't want Mark I want you” she said still crying.

Ben then took her in his arms “Please stop crying, I’ll be back before you know it” said Ben while stroking her hair. “But what if you die I wouldn't be able to cope without you” said Ellie.

“I won’t die not while I have you in my life” he said wiping Ellie’s tears from her eyes. “Please don't leave me” she had now got on her knees crying her eyes out. Ben got on the floor to “You know I will not be leaving you really coz I’ll always be in your heart” he said trying to reassure her. “But I still don't want you to leave”

Then someone came to the door it was Christian so Ben opened the door and Ellie went running upstairs. “What's the matter with Ellie?” Asked Christian.

“I got a letter today to say that I have to go to war” replied Ben.

“You cant go to war what will we do about the band” said a shocked Christian. “Don't you start I have had this with Ellie” said Ben shaking his head. “You cant blame her Ben she loves you” said Christian. “I know it’s just that she won’t stop crying and I just can’t do anything to stop her”

“You could always refuse to go” said Christian.

“I cant do that they are counting on me they need me” said Ben.

“So does Ellie” said Christian in a more relaxed tone.

“I know” said Ben.

“So you’re not going then”

“Yes of course am going I just need to reassure Ellie that I will be back” said Ben.

“How are you going to do that?” Asked Christian.

“I am going to tell her that when she hears Everything I Do on the radio that I will be back” said Ben.

“How can that happen its not getting played any more” said a confused Christian.

“Exactly I will request it and make her keep the radio on all the time” said Ben.

“If you think that will stop her from crying then do it” said Christian. So Ben went upstairs and Christian got on the phone to Mark and Paul to tell them about Ben going to war.

Once Ben got upstairs he went into the bedroom and said to Ellie “Come on babe stop crying I need to tell you something” he said. “What?” Asked Ellie.

“Well while am away I need you to keep the radio on because when you hear our song that means I will be coming back” said Ben smiling. “How can that happen?” Asked Ellie.

“Well am going to request it for you before I come back” he said. She stopped crying “Ok”. Then the door went again Ben went downstairs this time it was Mark and Paul. “I guess you told them then” he said looking at Christian.

“Well we need to sort something out” Said Christian.

“So it’s true then?” Said Mark.

“Yes” said Ben. He went downstairs to the other “come on lets go into the front room” said Ben. So they went into the room and sat on the three-seated settee and Ben sat in the armchair. “So what are we going to do?” Asked Paul.

“Well you can either go on without me until I get back or we can start back up when I come back and then you have had a rest so we can come back with new material” said Ben.

“I think we should rest for a while and then see if you’re back from war coz you might not be out there that long” said Paul.

“I think that's a good idea” said Ellie who had now came downstairs and sat on Ben’s knee. “You ok now” asked Ben.

“Yes coz I realised that you have the whole world to think about not just me and the band you should do what you think is the best to do and you will be coming back” said Ellie.

“Of course am coming back” said Ben while kissing Ellie on the cheek.

“Well now everything is sorted I think we should have a going away party” said Mark.

“I think that is a good idea” said Ellie.

“We cant have a party guys I am due out in the morning”
