Drakken was the partner of Kaysek, leader of the Cult of Pain and general depraved nobleman in the spire of Necromunda hive. At the zenith of his power, a hundred bored nobles indulged themselves in his cult, and they tortured and killed poor workers from the lower hives. As they were getting ready for a grand sacrifice, three squads of Arbites terror teams, Inquisitor Orrien, Interrogator Tarkin and a ragtag bunch of gangers burst into their hideout, guns blazing.

Tarkin and Drakken met in the middle of the room, Drakken's poisoned razor-sword against Tarkin's whining vibro axe. Drakken thought himself an excellent swordsman, Tarkun quickly disabused him of this notion. After parrying a frantic flurry of blows from Drakken, Tarkin slamed his axe haft into the swordsman's face and the followed up with a brilliant figure-eight slash that severed Drakken's left hand and right arm. As Drakken lay dying on the ground, a spray from Kaysek's Destructor washed over him.

But Tarkin did not let him die. His body was placed in a stasis box, and then he was rescued by surgeons. He was then hauled before the courts and eventually tried for blasphemy, murder, treason, illegal xeno-relations, and refusing to pay the Imperial Tithe. He was found guilty on all counts, and was sentenced to arco-flagellation. His arms and torso were heavily augmented by Magos Orbeck. When travelling from world to world, aboard Orrien's corvette "Splinter in the Mind's Eye", his arms are removed and he is kept lucid and sane. Tarkin spends hours talking to him, trying to find some clue as to how and why he betrayed his race for the Dark Eldar.

Notes

Kristoffer: Drakken is just a result of my thinking that electro-flails that are too weedy, and that I had a Chaos Dreadnought power claw and a dreadnought arm lying around. Once these parts were installed, the bionics seemed necessary to make the skinny little guy able to bear the weight of his weapons.

Drakken's background came from making Teeq's background. I figured the dark eldar could had to have a human leader too, so why not make the arco-flagellant someone like that. Seeing as he had bionic arms, well, it just fit perfect with Tarkin's vibro axe.
