At an early age Diges had expressed himself with action rather than the use of words and managed to come a cropper with the local watchmen on numerous occasions. On several hive houses around Hades Hive Diges would apparently manage to pilfer several house artefacts and return home. The most serious situation had been when the young hiver had reached adolescence and found it upon himself to relocate the most prized possession of House Derat'Sa; The Liberator.

It was supposed to be the ancient needle pistol of the old Hertvas Derat'sa (see sub-file: Derat'sa 341d). Young Diges was caught and brought before the local arbites proctor and charged with numerous criminal offences and was given terms; he was to return what was not his and confess to the Cardinal of Armageddon or face years in the penal legion. What option had he to choose? Without a word Diges led the proctor to the stash he had and went to the Cardinal uphive. Seeing the young man's interest in tech the Cardinal requested the hiver be brought under the Adeptus Mechanicus as the young Diges had little interest in anything else including the cult of the Emperor - which bordered him on heretical.

Between then and the second Armageddon war the events of his life are unsure but we do know Diges had trouble with his eyesight and it eventually failed leaving him blind for several weeks before his mentor, Magos Nathaniel Icathos, replaced his faulty sense with a visor (also known as a dual bionic-eye or Cyclops), we also know Diges from then on believed flesh to be weak and vulnerable. At the onset of the second Armageddon war, Nathaniel and Diges (who was now a tech-adept) were sent to the hive spine to over watch the barricading of the spaceport, factories and the harbour.

In the ensuing battle for Hades Magos Icathos was decapitated by an Ork Nob. In frenzy over the loss of his mentor and father figure Diges proceeded to crush to Ork's cranium beneath numerous blows from a wrench the size of a mans leg. That event imprinted on his memory Diges had a mortal hatred for all Orkdom above all else, including aliens and heretics, and he tried to wipe out Orks zealously.

After the war Diges disappeared for nearly a decade from any imperial record, on his own personal quest for meaning before heading to Mars to see the head of the Tech Exploratorica- High Magos Popall, to grant permission to the use of mining pit slaves to recover ancient STC's and other human artefacts. Nothing is known of the High Magos' decision, whether affirmative or no, but Diges acquired them all the same and began his twelve year independent crusade for humanity's domination of the galaxy and a (permanent) personal vendetta against Orks.

Fifty-seven years after that original venture to the southern rim and Diges still has not found the ultimate STC… The Nemesis Assembler. According to myth and old scriptures it is a programmable replication device basically able to create anything from nothing-be it tanks or a teacup-the said item (once programmed in) appears or materialises layer by atomic layer in a matter of seconds beside the hemispherical device, the dimensions are not given as to the size of the device. Of course, such a device would work dozens of times more efficiently if it was controlled by a machine spirit...

At the moment Diges is protected by a device known as the Weather Paradigm - once activated it produces a small psychic storm within the immediate radius of the bearer and it has been known to render even the most powerful psyker useless as any within or attempting to enter the storm's area will only fuel the thing with their psychic energy. A most curious device, although unstable if the bearer attempts to move or disturb the device unless to turn it off.
