The Democratic Republic of the Black Widow [WIDOW] was established on March 5, 2006 at Inselkampf.com during the dismantling of Skullduggery [SKULL] following a border skirmish between two members of the Raid [RAID] and Skull alliance that eventually lead to a full blown alliance war, that burst into a full blown flame war on the Inselkampf forums, which, while painful for the parties involved, has since been widely interpretted by historians as "light entertainment for Orcs" or "some kind of joint comedy writing project SKULL and RAID seem to have going on".

Most former members of Skull went on to live peaceful lives amongst other - well, better armed alliances, but the plucky, spirited Founding Mothers of Black Widow had ideas of their own.

Sumikoska - After vigorously running for the non-existant Office of Scribe during the Poot_N_Tate administration (and never being elected and appointed due to the fact that the office did not exist) enjoyed a brief stint as official Scribe of Skull during the BlackGraceKidd administration, Sumikoska developed a taste for politics, dirty limericks and well-aged plum wine, and decided upon the disbandment of the SKULL alliance, to form a new alliance, and search for likeminded, questionably-sane others.

Boadicea - The sheer image of pluck and courage, Boadicea the Bodacious - recently stranded with a ratty band o' pirates (arrrrrgghhh!) after the battle of [DIGG] vs IsleRing - set out for the seas in search of adventure and escape from the ever-present spectre of boredom. Soon weary of the peaceful, quiet life of bliss other former Skullies be leadin' at Valheru, Ms. Boadicea sent in her application to the Mighty Orc Horde(tm) [ORC] - which was summarily denied due to her paltry tribute of fishheads. Shortly thereafter, she joined Sumikoska as co-admin of [WIDOW]
