Mugen

Elecbyte - guess who made Mugen?...

ShinMugen - Contains Mugen news, links, and hosts a few creations

Winane's Stage Site - You'll have a hard time finding someone more dedicated to Mugen stages - or better stage conversions than his.

Inverse's Hideout - Quite a few interesting characters, and probably one of the best SFF tutorials on the net - in english and spanish.

Man M's site - One of the very few Portuguese people in Mugen, he put together on of the best Piccollos for the engine, and also some sites, some of which you may enjoy if you like Evangelion.

SMEEnet.org - SMEE has a thing for small Mugen characters, and his site reflects that - there you'll find excellent conversions of Gameboy versions of KoF characters (including edited moves) and other mini-pearls like the Pit Fighter crew and Superman. The site also includes an Oekaki and the MugenShock forum

VIB's site - One of Mugen's finest minds, VIB may not be very prolific in his works, but he knows what he's doing, and he does it with style - his more conventional works consist on excellent conversions of SSF2 stages; his characters, however, are unlike anything you've seen elsewhere: nobody else made a version of Vegetto from DBZ turned into candy, for example, or a _ball_ as skilled as his Bola - he's also made a character/patch that gives KFM AI in order to demonstrate a way to implement it in any character... and he also made the world's strongest character, just to show how easy it is to make a power character that sucks. If you're into Starcraft, you also might like other parts of his site.

Bad Darkness' site - a personal favorite among Japanese creators, he's converted more classic versions of Rugal than anyone else I can remember, as well as some other characters, which include Bonus-Kun from Waku Waku 7 or Demitri from SvC. He shares the site with another creator, Gonzo, who seems to have a fondness for converting boss characters and several stages.

Warusaki3' site - another personal favorite among Japanese creators, the site includes several personal favorite characters, many of which including alternate playstyles The creations there are also updated often, especially the CvS2 ones, which are plentiful here.

Mugen Continue - Mouser every once dissappears from view in the Mugen world, but still manages to be a quite prolific creator, especially when it comes to the KoF and Real Bout series. Not all of his works are hosted there, but the recent ones are - when granting me permission to host his Hon Fu, he mentioned he didn't mind other people hosting his characters, but it's still probably a good idea to contact him about it, and his BBS seems like the best place to do it at.

Sander 71113 - I don't know what's with the 71113 number, but Mugen-wise it came to be associated with accurate KoF character conversions, although he's converted from other games, as is the case with Sasquatch and Wolverine. Among his own KoF conversions, some of Deuce's KoF works like Vanessa and Benimaru can also be found there. At this site you'll also find plenty of info to help you with your own KoF conversions.

Forums

MugenShock - Where some of the finest Portuguese-speaking Mugen minds meet.

Mugen Guild forum - From the some of the finest programmers in the Mugen community to the newbies who're still figuring out how Mugen works, you'll find just about every kind of Mugen individual and info here.

New Wave Mugen - a forum attempting a different way to handle the relationships between the way Elecbyte intended Mugen to be and the way a big part of the community around it acts towards it, neither acting like holy inquisition or some no man's land.

Webcomics

Greystone Inn - A comic strip about the making of a comic strip, but it tends to drift a lot into other unrelated situations and characters - the author's take on super-villainny is particularly awesome.

Zebra Girl - A sadistic yet talented artist messes around with the comic's main character by turning her into a demon, and uses most of the rest of the story to mess with readers' heads.

Something Positive - If the excellent blunt one-liners don't get to you, maybe the boneless cat will...

Kevin and Kell - Nature's many creatures and the unique dynamics of the Internet meet in a world that's very different from our own, but to which we can relate more than we'd expect.

Other Interesting Stuff

Voluntary Human Extinction Movement - Interesting reading material, even if a bit too controversial for some.

Sirlin.net - Excellent site on game design theory - it that doesn't interest you, maybe some of the game tips contained in certain articles will...

Streets of Rage Online - Dedicated to one of the finest series on the classic Megadrive/Genesis, it has just about everything you'd like to know about it - and if it doesn't, you can always resort to the forums.

Eigo-navi.com - A place I use to (attempt to) translate from English to Japanese or the other way around, reccomended by Winane as a much better alternative for that particular task than Babelfish, thanks to the Amikai engine.
