They were close friends and always looked for foods together
ทั้งคู่เป็นเพื่อนสนิทกัน และมักออกหากินด้วยกันเสมอ

One day while the two birds were walking along the pond,there was a heron flew passes them
วันหนึ่งในขณะที่ทั้งสองกำลังเดินเลียบหนองน้ำอยู่มีนกกระยางตัวหนึ่งบินผ่านมา

"Friends, there is another pond over there.It is full of shrimps, shells, crabs and fish."
"นี่แน่ะเพื่อน ตรงโน้นมีหนองน้ำอีกแห่งหนึ่ง ที่นั่นมีกุ้ง หอย ปู ปลา เยอะแยะเชียว" นกกระยางบอก

So, the goose and the stork flew to the pond which the heron told them about.
นกกระสาและห่านจึงพากันบินไปยังหนองน้ำตามคำบอกเล่าของนกกระยาง

At the pond, there was really a lot of food.
ที่หนองน้ำแห่งนั้น มีอาหารอุดมสมบูรณ์จริงตามที่นกกระยางพูด

The goose ate a lot of the food while the stork ate just enough to fill himself.
ห่านนั้นกินอาหารมากจนพุงกาง ในขณะที่นกกระสากินพออิ่ม

"We rarely find a place which is full food like this.Why do you eat so little?"
the goose asked his friend.
"นานๆถึงจะพบแหล่งอาหารอุดมสมบูรณ์อย่างนี้ทำไมท่านถึงกินเพียงนิดเดียวล่ะ" ห่านถาม

"Oh, I'm full. If I eat too much, I'm afraid that I cannot fly back." answered the stork.
"ข้าอิ่มแล้ว ถ้ากินมากเกินไป ข้ากลัวว่าจะบินกลับไม่ไหว" นกกระสาตอบ

"But I can eat a lot more" the goose said and went on eating.
"แต่ข้ายังกินได้อีกเยอะ" ห่านพูดแล้วก็ก้มหน้าก้มตากินต่อไป

At the moment, there was a hunter who came by and saw the two birds
ขณะนั้นมีพรานคนหนึ่งเดินผ่านมาเห็นนกทั้งสองเข้า

The hunter immediately aimed his arrow at the goose and the stork.
นายพรานจึงยกธนูขึ้นเล็งไปที่นกทันที

By chance, the stork saw the hunter. It cried out to warn the goose before it flew away.
นกกระสาบังเอิญเหลือบมาเห็นนายพรานเข้าพอดี จึงร้องเตือนห่านก่อนที่ตัวเองจะรีบบินหนีไป

The goose who has eaten too much could not fly.
ห่านซึ่งกินอาหารมากเกินไปจนบินหนีไม่ไหว

It was finally shot by the hunter
มันจึงถูกนายพรานยิงตายในที่สุด
