Blue's Poem

Untitled

I feel like I've known you all my life
through the good times and the worse.
But to be honest, I didn't know you at all.
But the pain I feel is like a curse.
I only knew you through the things you did
and the acomplishments you got, too.
You, you were such a wonderful kid,
and I ask myself why God chose you.
You did not want to die,
and you always made that clear.
You fought for your life till the very end,
and held those close to you dear.
Then one night God said, "No more,"
and did the thing that we all feared.
He took your life away from you, Mike.
He wanted your hurting to stop.
and I could lie and say to you, Mike,
that no one cried, not a drop.
But that's not how it was, Mike,
or how it will ever be.
We miss you more than words can say.
We just hope you can see,
that you DID make a difference, Michael,
and you helped everyone.
We knew that you loved your life, Mike;
we knew you were having fun.
But I guess it was just your time to run.
But even though you left us all so fast,
I will always remember you as the kid who loved life -
the kid who had a blast.

Miss Ya Mikey Dawg. R.I.P.
