Samosas, nan and onion bhajee appetizers with two bottles house (French) red wine. Chicken sagwala (spinach curry) delicious, as was the lychee & coconut chicken curry. Best Indian food I've eaten.

Cafe 1880
Cappuchino served in tall glasses with chocolate almond on the side and the letters "1880" sprinkled in cocoa on top of the foam.

Cafe Pasta

Spaghetti with meatballs (good thin sauce and Italian sausage meatballs), vegetarian lasagna, hot chocolate & tea.

Coffee Republic
Cappuchinos and Internet connections. Grilled cheese & ham / cheese & tomato sandwiches. Small paper tubes of sugar and creamer.

Rate: £45 (twin). Room long and narrow, tiny add-on bathroom, high ceilings & tererestrial TV. Hot water carafe in room with instant tea & coffee. Continental breakfast: rice crispies and milk, orange juice, toast with butter & jam and a pot of instant coffee.

West Cornwall Pasty Company Warm and filling lamb and mint pasty. Couldn't help but start singing Sweeney Todd's pie song, though.
