I have been contacted by someone involved with the film who has provided the names of the main actors and informed me that Alessandra Toreson is not part of the cast. The role of Zoe (previously credited to Alessandra Toreson) is played by Torrey Devitto. The main cast are: Brooke Nevin (Amber), David Paetkau (Colby), Torrey Devitto (Zoe), Ben Easter (Lance) and Seth Packard (Roger).

There hasn't been a concrete release date announced for the film yet but a number of sources are currently listing October 31st 2006 (theatrical release). This is still subject to change.

I've located a couple of news items today. The first is a recent interview with Don Shanks who plays the Fisherman in the film:

Interview with Don Shanks
What's the next film you're working on?
I'm doing the new 'I Know What You Did Last Summer', which they're calling 'I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer'...
Didn't you have your own title at the [Monster Mania] panel the other night?
'Who Cares What You Did Last Summer'? (laughs)
How'd that part come about?
Well, we just worked on Bloody Mary which became Urban Legends 3. I coordinated it and doubled several people in the film. They (the producers) thought, "Well, Don does all this stuff, why don't we just make him the killer?"
Excellent. And you kind of resemble the fisherman from the other 2 films.
Well, I can't give anything away, but you'll see in the film that it's a little bit different this time. It's going to be a lot of fun.
The second piece of news is a report on a rumour (which is false):

Jennifer Love Hewitt Makes the Twist in 'Summer 3'
"Back a few weeks ago before Ghost Whisperer premiered on TV, I talked for a few minutes with star Jennifer Love Hewitt, who told me that she wouldn't be tackling anything horror anytime soon - including Sony Screen Gems' I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer, which is now filming for a 2006 release. But have things changed since then? According to our scooper Ghostface it appears that way - and remember to please take this as rumor until confirmed otherwise. Read on for the skinny...
Ghostface writes in:
Jennifer Love Hewitt is going to be in "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" - albeit, briefly.
In an interview for 'Ghost Whisperer' on ET Weekend she said she's "not starring, she's not even a pivotal part of the storyline - but there is a twist at the end, and you might see Ms Julie then". She said the new, young, cast reminds her a lot of what her, Sarah, Ryan and Freddie were like, when they were doing the first film, and predicts "they'll all be big stars".
Until we've confirmed this, please take it as rumor."

The announcement from the Hollywood Reporter appears to be incorrect in regard to the film's title. A poster on the message board has clarified that "The Hook" was the name assigned to the film during production. The same person also confirms that Sylvain White directed the film.

October 16th, 2005
According to the Hollywood Reporter the title of the film has been changed to "Hook". This was stated in an announcement they made about a previously unknown cast member...
Ben Easter booked a role in Screen Gems' "Hook" (formerly "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer"), directed by Damon Santostefano. He plays a working-class kid who is related to the young man who is killed in a Fourth of July prank and is suspected of hounding the pranksters. Easter's credits include a stint on MTV's "Undressed" as well as the TV show "Zenon: Z3." He is repped by Julie Wolff at the Morgan Agency, Brian Wilkins and attorney Darren Trattner. Ben Easter:

In additional news the Vault at Variety.com has listed the production dates for the film as 08/29/2005 - 09/30/2005, indicating that the film is now in post-production.

Hollywood.com has posted a synopsis of the plot which reveals some new details about the movie:
Several teenagers in a small-town in Colorado concoct a July 4th prank based on a frightening legend that goes awry when their friend ends up accidentally killed; however, the teens agree to keep their involvement a secret from the authorities, who continue to search for the man who apparently killed their friend. A year later, with the July 4th celebration coming up again, the teenagers realize that they're being stalked by someone who clearly intends on keeping the horrible legend alive by killing them off. Interview with Torrey Devitto
What do you have coming up next in your career? I just finished working on the film I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer, which was such a blast. There were three other castmates working on it with me who are extremely talented and we really lucked out with an amazing director.

** I'll Always Know ONLINE is now up and running **
I've collected all of the news about the film prior to now and added it to this page. The site will be regularly updated with the latest news as it becomes available. It seems that some things have changed since the film was first announced back in July. Several sources now indicate that the film is directed by Sylvain White (which is unconfirmed) and will be released direct-to-video (which seems likely).
The IMDb features a detailed outline of the film's plot which is as follows: The latest installment in the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" franchise focuses on a seemingly harmless Fourth of July prank that ends in the unexpected death of a friend of four teens from a small Colorado town who make a pact to keep the death a secret (despite one's desperate protest). Over the course of the following year, the four teens find their friendships all horribly strained and all but terminated completely from the trauma. Come the next Fourth of July, just before the town's annual carnival, the four teens all find themselves being victimized by a mysterious menace when they begin to receive intimidating calling cards indicating someone is aware of what happened before. The group suspect the cousin of the dead friend, only to discover they are very much on the wrong track. Can the friends survive and figure out the identity of their tormentor before they end up dead themselves?
Since some of the cast has been revealed I've located pictures of them.
Brooke Nevin, Star LaPoint and Brittanie Nicole Leary:

I've also come across some photos of the McPolin Farm which is a location used in the film. For details on the scenes filmed here check out the news item from October 5th.

Finally, a map and some stock photos of the Utah State Fair (which was also used as a location) can be found at the fair's official website.

Actress with Park City ties in the area for a shoot: Brittanie Nicole Leary is in "I'll Always Know What Did Last Summer"
Locals might have noticed a camera crew around town in the past few weeks. This month Park City has played host to the filming of a new movie, "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer," directed by Sylvain White.
According to Brittanie Nicole Leary, the shoot has been about a month long. Leary is one of the film's stars and has some Summit County ties; she lived in Park City for a year and still has some family here. So even aside from its filming location, "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" has a visible Park City presence.
Leary she said she enjoys working in the area. "Anytime I can com back to Park City and work, it's a beautiful thing," said Leary. That happens a couple times a year, she said. Currently Leary lives in L.A., where she has lived for three years. She counts among her credits TV shows like "Yes, Dear," "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," MTV's "Undressed" and the Utah-based "Everwood."
Leary said she was in Utah working on the latter show when she first heard about her current project. As soon as she learned it would be shooting in the Park City area, she said she knew she had to be in it. She went to an audition and got a part.
The film is the third in the series that began with the 1997 slasher flick, "I Know What You Did Last Summer." That movie starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe (among others) and told the story of a group of friends who try to cover up a hit-and-run killing.
"I think this is definitely going to be the best film in the series," said Leary. The third movie features a new cast of characters and a new town, according to Leary. "It's a whole new set-up," she said, "but the same kind of story line."
Last Wednesday the crew was at the McPolin Farm shooting one of the movie's final scenes a party. Cables ran across the farm yard between the barn and the machine shed, and the actual shooting was taking place at the foot of the silos. The extras and the cast sat milling around and watching the crew work through its takes.
"I'm just thrilled to be part of such a cool franchise," said Leary. Shooting a horror movie was turning out to be fun. Leary talked about doing all-night shoots, starting after dusk and watching the sun come up over the mountains, and doing a shoot at the state fair park during the Utah State Fair. "We had to run through all these people in the crowd, screaming," she said. The scene was fun, she noted, because it was the sort of thing a person would never get to do at any other time.

More On Third "Summer" and "XXX" Films
Further details have emerged from 'Jess', a scooper on recently rumoured third entries in the lackluster "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "XXX" film franchises:
"Greetings from an understaffed, but all-too-rare independent video-store. Was talking to our Sony rep today and he told me he's just read the script for "I Know What You Did Last Summer 3". He said it's coming to DVD here next Summer.
It's called "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" and this is kinda what happens in it: The lead kids are at a state fair and one of the kids' fathers, a Navy Seal, is at a veteran's booth. That kid is killed (by the fisherman - who gorges him), so for the rest of the film, the father is haunted by his son's death. Basically, Dad and Fisherman come face to face by the end.
Don Shanks from Halloween 5 is the villain this time, the fisherman, - but there's a great twist, this time, which I won't reveal, but let's just say - it makes sense for the original actor not to be playing the Fisherman. Brooke Nevin is the lead girly in the film - she was in "The 4400".

On-Set Interview: Sarah Michelle Gellar "Southland Tales"
(Helen Shivers in the original "I Know What You Did Last Summer")
Question: Did you hear about I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer?
Gellar: What? You guys are making this up.
Question: In Utah.
Gellar: They're letting them make that in Mormon territory? You guys are all kidding.
Question: Straight to video.
Gellar: That sounds like one of those jokes that we all made behind the scenes. It does sound like a Simpsons joke.

One-Minute with Jennifer Love Hewitt
While at the red carpet premiere for her upcoming show Ghost Whisperer, the beautiful 26 year-old Jennifer Love Hewitt (I Know What You Did Last Summer) took a minute out of her chaotic intro to talk one-on-one with B-D. Although we basically talked about random nonsense, she did tell us that she will not be making an appearance in the upcoming I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer. She also told us that right now she has no plans on doing any more horror films for quite sometime - but there's always Ghost Whisperer, which premieres on CBS this Friday at 8PM ET.

Casting Couch: Foster, Kilmer, Nevin
"Brooke Nevin (TV's The 4400), Alessandra Toreson (Disney's TV movie Going to the Mat) and newcomer Star LaPoint, are all attached to play the main roles in "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer" which has Don Shanks (Michael Myers in Halloween 5) playing The Fisherman, a role that was bumped from Muse Watson".

Filming last week in Deer Valley: "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer"
Filming last week in Deer Valley: "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer," a sequel to the late-1990s slasher flicks, with Utah subbing for Colorado (why isn't it ever the other way around?). No word on whether Jennifer Love Hewitt returns, although it seems doubtful. Considering the screenplay was penned by sequel-happy Michael D. Weiss, whose credits include "Octopus 2: River of Fear" and "The Butterfly Effect 2," this project has "straight-to-video" written all over it.
