Biography

After the split of the school band Massacre, drummer
Jake Mann, and guitarist Chris Dean went about forming a new band Fate, later to become illfated.
By the end of 2000 they had recruited bassist Gemma Preece and vocalist Leah Fitzsimmons.
Initial rehearsals went well and within two months the band were ready to gig. It already appeard that there were alot of influences making for the unique, ever changing style of music
illfated have become known for.

The first gig took place on the 27th April 2001, a heat in Tamworth Battle Of the Bands. Winning over audience and judges the band proceeded to the final six out of 32 bands, gaining much interest and experience along the way.

The band then carried on song writing for a demo released in March 2002, entitled 'Tear Me Down' and participated in a string of successful gigs around the midlands, including playing at the Little Civic (wolverhampton), and organising a coach trip of over fifty people to Abracadabras in Burton.
More recently with the addition of two new band members,
Simon Key on drums, and Chris Bown on bass, the band is ready to add a new dimension to their music and live shows.
