Illini Hockey vs Chicago Blackhawks
This was definitely an entertaining exhibition game!
Final score: Illini 6, Blackhawks 7
I was highly amused by the entire Illini Hockey bench getting drenched with water by the Blackhawks alumni.
It was also pretty hilarious watching Kyle Mulvey and his dad block each other.
The switching of goalies was rather entertaining too.
All I can say is Section EE better improve on their cheering skills by next game...'cuz they wouldn't even stand.
People wanted us to sit down not to mention the lack of cheering.
I'm SO ashamed!
What has Section EE become?...a bunch of pussies?
Let's hope they get better...it's my final year of EE cheering.
OCTOBER 12
Illini Hockey vs St. Louis University
I have to admit the first period of this game was incredibly boring...no blood, no scoring.
There were more falls on the ice than shots on goal for both teams.
Luckily in the 2nd period Illini scored 2 goals but before there was time to announce the scorers St. Louis tied it up.
From then on it was just a game of cat and mouse with the final score being Illini 6 and St. Louis 4.
Congrats to all of the Illini who had their first goal of the season this game (Coleman, Rogers, Chrusty).
I am greatly impressed by Kyle Mulvey's playing ability this game...he's less bad ass more smart hockey this season.
Not that being a bad ass is necessarily a bad thing but kicking ass will only take you so far.
Liz and I salute Mulvey for embracing different violations this year...it's good to see penalties other than slashing.
I also was highly amused by the fighting from Steve Cichocki.
I can't remember which St. Louis player it was, but Steve was kicking his ass.
Nelson Forsberg was also making sure several Billikens kissed the boards.
More fights-less hockey!
OCTOBER 13
Illini Hockey vs St. Louis University
I have to admit I found this game much more entertaining.
Plenty more fights...better passes.
I would say Illini played a helluva lot better tonight than friday night.
The game was overall better to watch...final score: 3-2 ILLINI WIN!
The game was more entertaining but the officiating sucked my ass.
The Illini were playing fairly clean and hell Mulvey was playing incredibly well and clean too.
So in honor of the refs: The Ref beats his wife, the Ref beats his wife, the Ref beats himself.
Despite the shitty calls...it was a good game.
What the hell's a billiken, anyways?
OCTOBER 26
Illini Hockey vs Wisconsin-Whitewater
Tonight's game: Illini vs. Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks...too many w's!
Anyways the entire game was incredibly boring until 3rd period.
I'm sorry Illini...I'm just being an honest fan.
Both teams just really weren't in sync tonight.
At least third period kicked ass.
Two sweet goals by Pat Olson and Chrusty scored the final goal.
Illini win! 6-5
There were some nice fights but some definite bullshit calls.
When Little Kohler has a stick jammed into his helmet...what do you call the penalty?---High Sticking or hooking?
It was good to see Harley playing again...he's an aggressive player with smart moves.
Take care of your groin Harley!
I noticed the Illini had a helluva lot more speed on the ice tonight...Lynchie, Carlson.
Looks like the rookies are doing pretty well this year.
Duncan has got some great puck handling skills and Tony can certainly knock some ass over.
Another Illini win, but wouldn't it be nice if tomorrow's entire game could be just as exciting as third period.
OCTOBER 27
Illini Hockey vs Wisconsin-Whitewater
Excellent game! What can I say...nothing beats a game disqualification in the first 2 minutes of the game.
Way to go Harley!
Skating was a helluva lot better but some of the passes were still a little too wide.
I think the officiating was a little better tonight as well.
Congrats to Kyle Zabrin for his goal in overtime with only 8 seconds remaining.
Final score: Illini 3, Wisconsin-Whitewater 2.
NOVEMBER 9
Illini Hockey vs Eastern Michigan
Neither team played that great...both teams were definitely lacking.
Mulvey and Boettcher got a game disqualification each during 2nd period.
Personally I thought this was a little harsh!!!
C'mon there wasn't even any blood!
3rd period Illini tied the Eastern Michigan bastards with a goal from Duncan.
Illini and Eastern Michigan then went head to head in overtime but resulted in a tie (1-1).
Bhibha however, got into a quality fight with #9 of Eastern Michigan after he called her a dirty minority.
Personally it's been awhile since I have had to push someone else back from the bar.
I had to push her back 5 times and so now I kinda feel guilty for having been such a bad influence :)
Well at least my hockey enthusiasm is rubbing off on others.
Let's hope the Illini can pull a win tomorrow night.

NOVEMBER 10
Illini Hockey vs Eastern Michigan
KICKASS GAME!
Although first period was kinda slow...Illini made up for it in the next two periods.
Goals: Harley,Coleman,Pat(2),Duncan.
Quite a few game disqualifications this game as well.
Tilden's fight was probably the highlight of the game.
And congrats to Justin Stock #8...for being the first rookie to be ejected from an Illini hockey home game this season.
The C on Eastern Michigan's #20 does NOT stand for captain...it stands for CRYBABY!
The game would not have been so damn long if #20 would have quit his damn bitching.
Final score: Illini 5, Eastern Michigan 2.
It always feels good to beat someone who is undefeated.
Needless to say Eastern Michigan is OVERRATED!!!
NOVEMBER 30
Illini Hockey vs Minnesota
Well Illini won 7-1 against Minnesota. Although the Illini won, it was a damn boring game!
Not too many fights...though both Coleman and Stock got hurt.
Congrats to Jeff Condis on his first goal of the season!
Anyways let's hope tomorrow's game is a little more entertaining.
DECEMBER 1
Illini Hockey vs Minnesota
Well needless to say this game was not very entertaining either.
At least the Illini won 5-0 on my 60th Illini Hockey game.
Tilden did have a very sweet goal though.
Congrats to Mulvey for his fine playing ability this game as well.
It's good to see a little restraint from beating an opposing player's face in.
Let's hope the hockey team gets a little more entertaining.
I only have 8 more hockey games left as a Superfan.
JANUARY 11
Illini Hockey vs Robert Morris College
Well this has to be the LONGEST Illini Hockey game ever!!!
Too many damn penalties...too many whistles.
I think the refs were blowing the whistle at wim....Someone adjusts cup...*blows whistle*...
The fights right in front of Section EE were pretty kickass...not to mention some quality violations.
Hell, I'd don't remember the last time someone got a penalty for spearing.
Illini still managed to win the game 7 to 3 despite the lack of stellar passes.
Congrats to all of tonight's scorers: Superfine(2), Tilden(2), Mulvey, Duncan, and Carlson.
You know it wasn't going well for Robert Morris when two of their players are ejected from the game and their coach writes, "We're fucked!" on his clipboard.
HA!
Anyways let's hope tomorrow night is a better game.

JANUARY 12
Illini Hockey vs Robert Morris College
This had to be the worst 1st period I have ever seen.
Skating was slow and passes were off.
Thank God I had those 2 mugs of beer at Illini Inn between 1st and 2nd period.
Otherwise I'm not sure I would have made it.
Luckily Illini managed to get their act together in time for 2nd and 3rd period.
Final score: Illini 9 and Robert Morris College 3.
Let's hope the Illini focus better against Iowa State.
JANUARY 25
Illini Hockey vs Iowa State
HOLY SHIT ILLINI BEAT IOWA STATE!
I haven't squealed that loud since I had Rob Thomas's crotch in my face...*L*
Well after a pretty slow 1st and 2nd period...the Illini managed to get it together long enough to score a sweet little goal by Luke Carlson with an assist by Superfine.
3 words: GOD BLESS DUNCAN!

A good amount of restraint was also apparent by Steve and Mulvey.
Personally I think you should have beat the shit out of that guy...but I guess rules are rules.
Hell yeah I got to play Bonnie Jean's...and I scored both times.
Cheerleaders suck...cheerleaders swallow.
Now if you could all just play as focused tomorrow's game as you did 3rd period and overtime.

Illini Hockey vs Iowa State
We lost :(
Illini 3 Iowa State 4...It sucked!
I think we would have done better had the puckhandling skills been up to par.
Anyways Section EE was in good spirits last night...with our pompoms and our signs.
Those signs took me like 45 minutes to make and the bastards have to take it away from me.
Anyways I'm not that sad we lost to Iowa State...at least we broke their winning streak on Friday night.
Personally I think it's time Condis and Nelson played again.
Note to all hockey fans: Do NOT drink an entire pitcher of beer by yourself to ease the pain of a loss.
You will only wake up still disappointed and extremely hungover.
Well good luck to the Illini against St. Louis University...I'm sure you'll beat the Billikens.
Only 4 games left as a Superfan...how sad is that?
FEBRURARY 8
Illini Hockey vs Western Michigan
Well the Illini managed to win tonight's game 7 to 0.
I would say the fights were rather entertaining.
Pat Olson gets a game disqualification and Mulvey gets a 10 minute which I think personally should have been a 5.
Come on he didn't even draw blood...an adequate 10 minute penalty requires the flow of some blood.
Geesh the refs sure are getting kinda soft.
Anyways congrats to all the Illini who scored this evening.
I was hoping for one more goal from Tilden.
He really deserves a good hat trick.
Skating wasn't too bad tonight and puck handling seems to have improved.
Now on the critical side....I think Chrusty is a kick ass player but he needs to drop the constant use of the slapshot.
Every single opponent anticipates it...so for the love of God, try something new.
A simple fake and a wrist shot would be just as effective.
It was good to see Vargas play...the kid did a nice job.
Now as a graduating Superfan I merely have one request.
I'd like to actually be able to cheer for Condis and Nelson one friggin' last time before the season is over.
So it would be fuckin' beneficial if they were allowed to play.
Anyways on a more positive note...Go Illini!

Illini Hockey vs Western Michigan
Illini win again...WOOHOO!!!
Another wonderful shutout by the Illini Hockey team 6-0.
Congrats to all of you fine players who scored.
Although I think the passing was a little sloppy in the first 5 minutes of 1st period, the Illini managed to get it together.
HELL YEAH! Condis, Vargas, and Nelson got to play tonight!
I guess my shoutouts tend to sway decisions sometimes *L*
Let's talk about kickass fights tonight.
Way to go Nelson!!!
Although I do not think Nelson's fight merited a game disqualification, it was pretty stellar.
Good little scuffle that Chrusty also managed to find himself in, but hell Lynchie was airborne and well ya gotta stand up for your teammates.
In fact, I would like to give a special Superfan high five to Todd Chrustowski.
Only two attempts on slapshot..thank you.
Your passes were very smooth and dead-on...the other team never knew what hit them.
Good passes and great defense tonight kiddo...that's the defensemen we know and love.

Illini Hockey vs Ohio University [CSCHL TOURNAMENT]
Well the perfect word to describe this game was SHIT!
The people who tried to merge into us on the way to St. Louis were shit.
The ice was shit.
First period was shit.
The dirty playing by Ohio University was shit.
THE OFFICIATING WAS SHIT!
Personally I think we got screwed the entire game.
There was checking from behind, trips, hooking, slashes, and of course boarding.
Hell my dead grandmother could have officiated a better game.
Final score...Illini 2, Ohio University 3.
Bhibha and I were very well behaved fans in my opinion.
I didn't curse once during the game, no shouts of bullshit for every single bad call, and I didn't once scream that someone was a pussy.
Boy, my mother would be sooo proud :)
We didn't get in any fights with the opposing team fans.
Though the guy next to us was asking for it...especially when he screamed that Steve should be flattened.
And since Bhibha is such a BIG fan of Steve Cichocki's, she had a few choice words to say about that, "No one better fuck with Steve in my presence."
Personally, I think that's the loudest and most obnoxious I've ever seen Bhibha.
It was hilarious!
Of course during this game, it helped me to realize how much I love home ice.
Our ice arena kicks ass compared to the US Ice Sports Complex.
Thank God the last games are here.

Of course I took it upon myself to whisper it.
The highlight of the game was that we bonded with the St. Louis University coach's daughter.
You know you got persuasive fan talents when you can get an opposing coach's daughter to cheer, "Come on Chrusty."
That was classic!
Anyways win or lose it was well worth the trip.
Why?
Because the Illini Hockey team is the shit :)
I'm graduating...so it's just one more Illini game I got to see before I leave.
FEBRUARY 22
Illini Hockey vs Ferris State
WOOOHOOO another Illini win...Hell yeah!
I have to admit that first period was very sloppy and the passing sucked my ass but hell, I still love my hockey boys.
Highlight of first period was Mulvey struggling with the opponent and clamping that opponent's hockey stick between your legs. WOW! What a grip! *L*
Nice fights tonight boys.
I would like to give an honorary badass award to #24 Ari Aberman.
When you threw off that equipment...it had some major distance.
Ever think of taking up discus? *L*
And what can I say when Danlow throws a punch...that's a major component of a kickass game.

Illini Hockey vs Ferris State: SENIOR NIGHT, MY LAST GAME :(
I don't know what the hell went wrong 1st period.
I was very very worried, but I knew my hockey boys would prevail.
2nd period made all the difference...so many badasses tonight...I was soo proud.
3rd period was soo great too.

Well I'm very happy that the Illini Hockey team won tonight 9-4, but I'm very sad that this was my last game as Superfan.

Illini Hockey vs Arizona
Although I am not attending Nationals, here is what the Towson University page tells us.
Illini Hockey(7th) wins 5 to 0 against Arizona (11).
Apparently, it was one helluva a fast-paced game.
Both teams remained scoreless first period.
2nd period, Illini score 3 goals with the final 2 goals taking place in 3rd period.
Illini had 39 shots on goal compared to the 33 of Arizona.
Sounds like a pretty kickass game to me.
Way to go Illini...can't beat a shutout!
I'm very saddened that I could not be at Nationals to cheer on the boys.
What sucks the most is that Towson University's homepage doesn't update quick enough.
At least Arizona broadcasted the games over the web radio last Nationals.
But then again, maybe people like me are the only ones who'd listen over the web.
Oh well...GO ILLINI!
MARCH 1
Illini Hockey vs Delaware
WOOHOOO!
Illini Hockey wins again...9 to 4 against Delaware.
Kickass we beat out the #2 ranked team.
It was tied 2 to 2 in the first period but by 2nd period Illini scored 4 goals to Delaware's 1.
Third period ended with Delaware scoring another goal and the Illini adding 3 more goals to the tally.
Pretty remarkable...34 shots to Delaware's 53.
Way to go boys!
Let's hope the Illini beat the hell outta Minot State tonight.

Illini Hockey vs Minot State[Semi-Finals]
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!
Illini Hockey team just totally whooped Minot State.
1st period, the Illini scored once against Minot State, but managed to get 2 more goals into the back of the net during 2nd period.
3rd period must have been incredibly exciting with Minot State having remained scoreless the majority of the game manages to put away 4 goals.
The Illini must have been hungry for goals as they tossed 6 more goals into the Minot State net.
All I can say is...HOLY SHIT!
Final score...Illini 9, Minot State 4.
God bless my hockey boys.
