The story of the clan Illuminiti begins with a poweful mage who is called Rapheal, the God Magnus and Rapheal’s war machine, the one known only as Switchblade.

In the quest for great wealth and power, Rapheal, with the help of Magnus and Switchblade founded the clan Illuminiti. Magnus' power was eventually dwarfed by that of the clan itself, and Rapheal and Switchblade exiled Magnus and began the search for a new diety.

They found just what they were looking for when they came upon the God of Misery and Agony. This god promised them immense power and wealth, and asked that in return they take upon themself some of the burden of pain, misery and agony that the god carried with it.

In order to channel the incredible power granted to them, they turned to the ways of the supernatural, now able to take on the form of Vampires, Werewolves, Demons and Mages.

Raphael turned into a sorceror, with the newly made Werewolf Switchblade, began the search for other warriors able to share the burden cast upon the Illuminiti by Misery. Only the strongerst warriors dared to accept this horendous challenge.

Four mortals were found worthy. These were Nicolai, Kargoth, Cyan and Nightshade. A fierce battle between them ensued, and in the end, only two, Nicolai and nightshade had proven himself worthy, and taking the form of the Vampire, Became the newest member of the Illuminiti.

Raphael, Switchblade and Nicolai command the Illuminti force together into the future, forever forced to bear the burden of Misery and death, in the
