Rest in Peace Dale
1951 - 2001
It sadens me to be making this page. I myself didn't care much for Dale's antics on the track but noone deserves to die. Dale was killed in an accident on February 18th, 2001 at the age of 49, when his car was bumped by Sterlin Marlin in the #40 Dodge. After the bump which was not Marlin's fault, Earnhardt's car slid out of control. He tried to regain control but it vered up into the wall at a speed of 185MPH. It has been said that he was killed instantly from a basal skull fracture. He was a 7 time Winston Cup Champion who will be missed and remembered. In a final thought the friends, family and fans have my deepest symapathy. In light of this all I would like to say that I believe he went in the best way possible.. and by that I mean doing something he truely loved.
