Edmonton's SkylineI hope all you Canadians know where Edmonton is sweatdrop, but for our non-Canadian friends out there here is some info.

Edmonton is the capital of Alberta. Its in about the middle of the provinces and is 523 kilometers (325 miles) from the Canadian-United States border and is in the heart of one of Canada's richest farm regions. It is also very involved in the oil industry.

Edmonton gets the full range of typical Canadian weather, from cold snowy winters to hot dry summers. This encyclopedia that I am getting this info from says that the average January temperature is -17 degrees Celsius (8 degrees Fahrenheit) but it has been a lot colder!! Believe me! Factor in wind chill and all that, brr!! Average July temperature 17 degrees Celsius (63 degrees Fahrenheit), but I think that is a load of bunk. Right now for example it is nearly 30 degrees Celsius. Hot hot!! For me anyways...

The city itself isn't very big, not even a million people!! I am not quite sure how many people it has...700,000 maybe. Perhaps more.

It has everything any other city has to offer. And it has the West Edmonton Mall, which is the biggest mall in the entire world. Don't believe me? Look it up in the Guiness World Book of Records! West Ed. has hundreds of stores, a huge waterpark, amusement park, theatres, and IMAX theatre, mini-golf, shooting range, an aquarium (complete with sharks and dolphins), a skating arena, and lots more. Can you tell I am absolutely in looooove with that mall?

You may be asking why I chose Edmonton over some of the larger centers of the world. Well, I know Edmonton I've been there many times and in a year I will be living there. I know that city, I don't have to bullshit my way through the setting. Yah know what I mean? And if anyone has questions I could probably answer them!
