Obiettivo ottimo, superiore, se pur di pochissimo, al fratello maggiore 1.4 al quale va preferito qualora non sia necessario lavorare a 1.4
Il prezzo è più che abbordabile. Lo si consiglia vivamente anche ai  possessori di fotocamere Yashica come sostituto dello Yashica 50/1.7 o 50/1.9
