The kid who I used to live with was trying to dump me off on anyone in the neighborhood who would take me..apparently, I was tied up out in the back yard my whole life & ignored most of the time. I barked alot to try & get someone's attention, but apparently the uncle complained & told the mom to get rid of me, and so the mom told the kid to get rid of me.. My foster dad saved me in a nick of time, because there are alot of bad people in the neighborhood [dog-fighting]. I was really skinny when I was rescued... dad was told by the kid that there were a couple other dogs at the house who always ate my food, and because I was the smallest I usually went hungry. Once I got to my foster home I ate & ate!
You can see by my face that I seem to be part Shar-pei, but I've got the body of a hound dog.. I may be a mixed breed, but I've 100% sweet & gentle! I'm still a little boy; I don't remember exactly when I was born, but it was less than a year ago. I'm now having my "growth spurt", but I won't get too much bigger--probably not over 50 pounds. I have lots of puppy energy and love to play, but also like being a lapdog! I'm full of curiousity, I like playing with my doggy friends I'm staying with, and I like the kitty too (but she doesn't like to play--I learned that quickly! I still try to get her to..maybe some day she'll play with me..); I'm friendly with kids and grown-ups, and after being in a bad situation, I now know how great it is to be loved! Once I meet you, I'll show you I have lots & lots of love to give you--I've been giving my foster dad & doggy friends lots of kisses! I'm about 90% potty-trained, and am still learning what is ok to play with & what not to play with, but I'm a very quick learner! I'm looking for someone I can be a constant companion to (now that I know how great it can be), and who will give me lots of love and attention (and a nice yard to run around in would be great, too!). My biggest dream, though, is to find a great home with my foster sister, who dad rescued a couple months ago. We're the same age, and love to play & play & play with each other!
