FILM 1HA T HAVE GONE THRU THE AIRPORT XRA Y MACHINE
Film can get damaged while going thru the airport xray machine, especially the higher speeds. Camera shops sell lead bags for that specifically. It will protect your film from receiving damage from the rays. If your film has been ruined by the rays if will have either a red or purple streak going right thru it.Not a pretty sight. Protect it with a lead bag and it will be fine.

OVEREXPOSED FILM
Overexpos~d nega~ves are very dark and the pictures from these are washed out and light. This is caused from
too mu~h lzght.Thls can be caused ~y afilm speed too!ast, an,aperature setting too wide, a shutter speed set too
low, using aflash when the proper lIghting a~ready exiStS. ~nlzke underexposed negatives your photo lab will be
ii able to fix most overexposed pictures by adding more density (make darker) and some color corrections. "1 However if the overexposure exceeds the density capability on the photo printer your photos will still besl!me:what w~~ed out. Before taking your pictures try to get in the habit of making yourself aware of the
lIghting COnditiOns around }!OU and your camera settings.film types etc. to avoid any kind of problems. Remember you attempted to take the picture because it was something special to you, so give it your best
FLASH NOT IN SYNC WITH SHUTTER
Flash not in sync with the shutter means that the flash and the shutter did not go off at the same time. This is
caused by incorrect settings or a low battery on your flash. If you are using a manual camera, on your shutter
speed dial there will usually be one shutter speed in red(usaually either
125 or a 60 of a second) and that is the one you want to use for that camera with a flash.UNEXPOSED FILM
Unexposed negatives means the film is unused
and the negatives will be blank. The most common error of this that when the film is loaded into the camera, the leader of the film is not pulled over far enough, therefore the film is not attached to the spindle so when it turns its not pulling it from the canister and it doesnt go through your camera there by being completely blank. You
can get a blank roll if your shutter is sticking but most of the time it just wasnt loaded properly. So be careful,it only takes a few seconds to make sure it is loaded right and its worth it not to lose your precious memories.
