Me and My First Ribbon

A ribbon is a strip of cloth                                                                                                  that you use to tie your hair.

I wasn't fond of ribbons, probably bec                                          ause I wasn't fond of combing my hair.

The task of attaching some bright      colorful thing onto my      hair was something inconceivable.

That, plus the fact that the ribbon allowed my hair to go bad didn't put ribbons into a good position.

So at the age when I could already put on my own under wear and socks, I just had headbands.

Puberty decided to pay me a long visit,                              vanity came for short and unnoticed visits.

I remember my first ribbon          wasn't really              a ribbon, it          was a clip with some pink cloth.

My mom had a habit                      buying similar                  things for my                      sister and myself and

we both                                      ended up with soft                      pink ribbons, how                                      feminine?!

But looking back, I                          never used a ribbon,

I always preferred the                              hairband cos tying my

hair was such a hassle. I                                      guess times have changed.

Nowadays, tying my hair is as                                              easy as 1-2-3. But then again,

some things don't change either.                                                  And so as time passes, my pink &

red ribbons...                                                still in a little
