POPSTARS v DROPSTARS - PRODUCERS SAY "NO WAY!"
After recent claims that the rejects from the ITV series Popstars would release a single in the same week along side the winners, ITV Popstars TV show producers have banned them from signing the contract for a record deal unless they agree to not release their debut single in the same week as the winning band.
The Daily Star reported that the producers of the hit TV show were worried that the rejects would win over the winning group. A possible manager for the band is Steve Gilmour, former 911 manager he said: "We haven't chosen a name yet but we'll soon dispense with the rejects tag. They could be even bigger than the show's chosen band."
The winning group's tour manager Martin Wright said: "The Popstars rejects are under contract with LWT until March. They will only be released to a record label if they agree not to bring out records at the same time as the winners. They will get as much TV to promote their records as the winners, so there is every chance of them being successful."

REJECT JESSICA "SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE FINAL 5"
Former Take That manager Nigel Martin Smith has told Now magazine that Popstars' reject Jessica Taylor should have been in the final 5, and he feels she will now become the next big thing.
Nigel says that the judges make a big mistake not picking her for the group. He told the magazine: "At the end when you saw the band together I felt sick - Jessica should have been there. In the same way Robbie left Take That and became a star, I think Jessica is going to be the one who emerges from Popstars and has a career."
Nigel also said he was talking to a record company about a deal for Jessica.
