Journal entry the 1st of Jastatos, 2000 I try not to venture into the Hall of the Mind lately too much darkness there, from the enemies of my Lord and from people who I had always counted as friends.. You see, they leave me alone now those shadows and those of the darkness, and I am glad..I guess I feel that everyone else should not worry..they start screaming the second Setzier starts his speaking, and its not as if he hasn't done the same to me..but he did not know he had affected me..I hold on to a strong and sometimes prideful front most often and he never knows that he has scared me or shaken me.. Walking into the Hall last evening it was fine at first. We were talking about men, and other things that were just plain silly..I suppose Setzier saw we were happy and had to ruin it, because it as then the fog came into the room and various disturbances around the room..It was his usual tricks, only this night it seemed as if Iscikella was more receptive to it..I suppose it was because he was whispering things to her as he had to me so long ago..and he began to press on Nofret's neck and she was choking..I have tried telling them calling a Jackal a predator is just glorifying him..he is nothing but a scavenger as all jackals are, just waiting to take any bit of someone that they can, whether it be mind or spirit..I prayed to Ronan and the fog lifted..I just feel that lately, faith has not played a part in any ones mind, everyone seems to be giving the darkness more credence than they deserve.. After this was all over Kadesha did arrive, and I was happy to see her until she revealed she had been praying and decided that she should be giving the divining sphere to Iscikella. I got angry, and Kadesha immediately questioned my loyalties and my trusting of Iscikella..I do trust Iscikella, but the very people who claim to be her friends seem to keep putting her in danger as soon as she gets out of it. Just recently, Iscikella finished a cleansing ceremony which cleansed her of the bite and poison of the serpent she reached for 2 times..now that it is finished, I find we have another thing to worry about..:sighs: I guess you could say I am tired of seeing Iscikella always harmed over and over..but I also see that it is being taken on herself as well..She didn't have to take the sphere, knowing it was evil, knowing that Chortel said it took from your spirit when used, knowing that Nofret had felt the darkness and Kadesha, and that Thurfel has sought it and so has Armaxis, who has harmed Nofret for it, and still would want it back..(To those who say that Iscikella won't use it, Nofret said that it indeed would try and make you want to use it) Also, I worry about the sphere being in her hands while she carries on speaking with Thurfel. As we all have noticed, he gets a sort of glazed look in his eye whenever she enters the room..While he may not harm her now, if he knows she has the sphere he could feel betrayed and harm her..And then there is the question of her loyalty to us...
