JUNE 23, 2003 It feels like it's been forever and a day since I've updated my site. Unfortunately due to some things going on in my life and just plain old not wanting to watch what I eat has led me down the path of self destruction again! ![]() Where Oh Where to begin? In April of 2001, I was in a size 14 and they were tight. I weighed 162lbs...a whopping 35lbs. overweight on my 5'1" small body frame. My final straw was when I realized I may be buying a size 16 Levi's for $42.00 in order to go on a trip!! NO WAY. I started off determined to lose with the WEIGHT WATCHERS WINNING POINTS program.. The weight came off v-e-r-y slowly....by May 2002 (over a year later) I'd only lost 10lbs. Very disturbing and heartbreaking but I'd lost inches...19 all over to be exact. I went from a tight size 14 to a loose size 11. I also got compliments everywhere I went, it was such a wonderful feeling. By the beginning of December 2002 I got down to146lbs getting ready to buy a size 9 jean. Everything was wonderful... I was buying cute shirts because they didn't pinch in and show my fat, I was finally proud to go out shopping for myself. My bras didn't pinch and I was able to buy a 34D instead of my 38DD's that pinched my fat. How I did it?....I followed the plan TO THE LETTER the first few months. I would slack off here and there but got right back on. I turned into an excercise nut. I went to the gym 5 days per week and walked. Sometimes I walked in the evenings, too. I firmly believe that the excercise I did helped my stupid Yo-Yo-ing I did on the plan. Dieting and excercise ruled my life but I was content. Because I'm a failure at dieting, watching what I eat, and not sticking with anything...by the end of January 2003...eating every "what-not" during the holidays, I'd gained 4lbs. Not much you say? It took me 8 months to lose that same 4lbs over and over and over again!!! I was determined YET AGAIN to start fresh because I now weighed 150lbs!! ![]() To be continued....... |
