A Rose by Any Other Name

A rose by any name is just as sweet,
And angel, by whatever faith, comes from heaven:
So let that be the rock on which we meet
And be the motto by which we shall travel.

Blonde angel, so ethereal and free,
Delightful, warm and tender! Heaven in you
Is clearer and more true for me to see
Than in all our Amen's and Halelluijah's.

You love me? Did God send you here to me
To show the heaven in its full resplendor?
You love me? Is He giving me to see
A bit of what it is that he intends for

Me later? Or are you a tempting glimpse
Of future that is not intended for me -
Are you a sliver of ethereal bliss
Before I'm thrown in eternal torment?

Embodied angel! Heavenly delight!
Infinity of love on earth made real!
The dreams of millions in you reside
And in you their intention they reveal!

Intending this: To make a form sublime
And heart and spirit warm and soft and glorious:
Intending this: To turn back tide of Time
And from Its mouth to snatch the sting of Serpents -

To bring us back to Omnipresent Light
And there to make us whole in Love's perfection:
Sweet desert rose! Being of Delight!
Divine intention, in you brought to action!

You are the place where world and heaven meet,
And there become complete, whereto they travel.
A rose by any name is just as sweet
And you, sweet angel, are a taste of heaven.
