As a member of the Bank Investments (BI) System
team, provided support and, finally, conversion of BI processing
from Summit to Fleet. BI System is designed to update BI accounts
of General Ledger, DDA (Demand Deposits Accounts), AS/400 customer
database, and other Bank Systems by processing of daily and monthly
transmissions from Sungard and other vendors, create statements
for the customers, and provide report generation for the users (BI
Operations).
- Created multiple custom reports for the Summit
- Fleet merger process using COBOL II, SyncSort, and JCL. · Simulated
data files and conducted Integration tests for different stages
of the Summit - Fleet merger.
- Designed, wrote specs, coded, tested, and implemented
BI Fax Confirmations project, which allowed sending BI trades
confirmations to participating customers by faxes (to be received
the same day) and save 20% on printing and mailing expenses. Confirmations
for non-faxed customers were printed and mailed as usual.
- Designed, coded, tested, and implemented BOLT
(bonds on-line trading) reconciliation report for the users.
- To achieve flexibility developed and implemented
COBOL II/CICS programs using VSAM files for on-line manual record
manipulation by the users.
- Created production PROCs and JOBs using JCL.
- Created test data and conducted Unit and System
testing for all projects. · Monitored transmissions of DEC/VAX
minicomputers for the Personal Trust System.
- Checked data integrity of Customer database by
running queries in AS/400.
- Created technical documentation and worked closely
with the users and Sungard on system enhancements and modifications.
