The Twisted Strands of My Life

Living Free

(No man-made cell waits for me)

Living in this man-made cell
Breathing down the back of Hell

Addicted, afflicted it’s all the same
Fighting off this burning flame

Where home is home and not a cell
Break me from these bonds of Hell

Ripped on drugs, and a world of strife
My soul was stolen; it’s the devil’s life

Give me back that childhood dream
Take back every sinful scheme

Free my mind and free my soul
Keep me clean and make me whole

Oh God I beg-just set me free
I ask you this on bended knee

I face myself towards the mirror
My life before me so much clearer

I’ll pay my dues and then live free
I ask this too... for my family

Where home is home and not a cell
Not breathing down the back of Hell

So as a man must leave his legacy
No man-made cell waits for me
