The Hoist

Picture of hoist

The hoist is actually a truck that has been altered. It has two drive-lines. One is used for driving the hoist from one location in a field to the next. The other driveline is engaged when the hoist is parked, elevated and attached to the beaverslide with cables. When the hoist is put in gear, the rear wheels spin, wrapping the cables around drums that are attached to the hoist tires. As the cables wrap around the drums, the basket on the beaverslide is raised.
