"Men hate each other because they fear each other, and they fear each other because they don't know each other, and they don't know each other because they are often separated from each other." -- Dr. Martin Luther King

*****Many people hear the word "witch" and may think, fantasy. There are those out there that believe that the things that happen in movies, on television and in all the special effects are simply that. Special effects. The things that happen there couldn't possibly happen in real life, or could it? Looking around for a person who can change hair colors in the blink of an eye or finding someone who can levitate inanimate objects can be a pretty hard task. These people, are either very rare, or they simply don't exist.

*****There is another part of witchcraft that people don't see very often. Spirituality never comes into play when you see Hocus Pocus, Practical Magic or The Craft. Perhaps this is why the so-called 'secrets of witchcraft' have never been revealed. Let's face it, the reason anyone reads anything on witchcraft is because something in the movies or in stories has sparked an interest to the paranormal. Looking up Witchcraft on the Internet will send you to a million and one sites on the topic. Some sites will tell you of spells, with ridiculously rare or nonexistent ingredients, which may only work at the right hour, under certain stars, and only if you say the spell correctly. However, there are parts of witchcraft that are actually very simple. Simple acts always bring on tremendous change, whether you notice it or not.

*****Witchcraft can be used as a tool for anything. Although 'anything' isn't always morally right, it still covers a wide range of circumstances. A few mundane examples would be help with homework, money, love life, sex (heh heh), or simply getting a new job. The less than tangible examples could be things such as bringing healing power, luck, or protection (in the mundane and on intangible levels). There are many ways to go about achieving these goals. The key is finding the way that works the best.

*****There are two major ways to put magic into effect. Ritual and prayer. Ritual requires an intention (a why and how sort of thing) for performing the rite, a way to raise the energy, and a way to program and release that energy. Prayer (usually only for people who choose to follow deities) is what happens when you connect with the Divine. Talking to Spirit every day strengthens the magic that lies beneath the words. Energy will raise itself and program through your words and release all on it's own.
