I altered this canvas , as you can see, but leaving out "cutie' who wasn't very cute, warping the girl's face somewhat, and pasting in the airplane that I had cut out of the one provided.
The desktop capture was easy but the area one was tricky because I had trouble controlling the rectangle that designated the area
It was more difficult to invent subject matter than to do the class exercises that were handed to me. I tried to include the skills we've learned in the last few lessons. In the image on the left, I pasted the picture into the frame, added a kaleidoscope border, and a frame with a cutout. On the right I made selections of the three hearts, pasted in the pictures and eyeglasses, added text, and framed the picture.
And last, I made a collage by selecting feathered portions of four images, and pasting them into a blank canvas which I then framed.

What is the difference between a GIF and a JPG - what would influence your decision to save in one format or the other?

A .gif file uses 256 colors or less, and a .jpg file can use up to 16 million. Gif files are used for graphics with large blocks of color. Jpg files are used for photos or more complicated images.

Why is it very important to optimize your graphic prior to saving the final image?

In order to get the smallest possible image wthout losing image quality. The smaller the image, the quicker it will load.


What is the difference between the cropping an image and resizing an image?

Cropping selects only part of an image and removes excess space. Resizing it makes the entire image smaller without removing any part of it.


Name the three types of materials, and describe at least one method of selecting a foreground or background material.

The materials are color, pattern, and texture. You may choose a color by clicking on the material pallette and selecting one , or by clicking on the dropper tool and picking up a color from a canvas with it.


Tell us one way to move the placement of a layer up or down

Left click and drag the layer up or down in the layer pallette. There is also a menu option that will do it


Why is it a good idea to save your work periodically?

So that if PSP crashes, the work you've done until then will not be lost.
