Struggling for the cause of Islam in Pakistan 

   ALLAMA ARIF HUSSAIN AL-HUSSAINI SHAHEED

Preface:

"And do not speak of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead; nay, (they are) alive, but you do not perceive."

(al-Baqra:154).

Wiladat:

Allama Arif Hussaini was born in a small village Parachanaar Kurram Agency (Peshawar) on 16 November 1946. His father name was Syed Fazal Hussain a renown religious personality of the area. Syed Fazel had two sons Shaheeed and Sayed Aaqi Hussain Al-Hussaini
 

Education:
He got primary and middle education in Peshawar local school. After his matriculation in 1964 Allama took admission in the local madreesa, after learning basic courses Allama went to Najaf in 1967 for higher studies. Allama's teachers at Najaf were Ayatollah Mortazvi and Ayatollah Shaheed Madni two great Mujtahiddin at that time. After a short span of time Shaheed was considered to be one of the great Ulemas in Najaf.
 

Family:
Arif Hussain got married in 1973. At that time he was 26. He had seven children, in which 5 sons and 2 daughters.
 

Islamic Revolution and Shaheed's role:

Allama was a great lover and student of Imam Khomeini [ra]. Allama met first time with Imam on the behalf of Ayatollah shaheed Madni. Allama Arif Hussaini participated in all lectures of Imam at Najaf. Finally in 1973 Shaheed was exiled by Iraqi government becaouse of his revolutionary activities.

Shaheed in Qom:

in 1974 Allama went to Qom for further studies. Allama learnt philosophy, jurisprudence, Fiqh, Asool and Kalam from Ustad Shaheed Mortaza Motahari, Ayatollah Makarim Shirazi, Ayatollah Mohsin Haram Panahi, Ayatollah Wahid Khorasani, Ayatollah Jawad Tabrazi and Ayatollah Kazim Hairi.

 Shaheed continued to support Imam Khomeini in Iran. Shah's police and agencies strictly observe Shaheed's activities and was finally exiled from Iran.

Leadership:

After the death of Allama Mufti Jaffar Hussain on August 29 1983 , Allama Arif Hussain was selected as a Quaid of Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan. At that time he was only 37 years-old. It did not take too much time for people to say, "QUAID KE FURMAN PER JAN BHI QURBAN HEY". Shaheeed was a brave leader, so the dictator at that time Zia-ul-Haq (m) got no chance to oppress the Shia. Allama was a leader who ruled over hearts of millions of Pakistani shias.

Martyrdom:
In the history of Shia Community, 5th August 1988 was recorded as tragic day when Quaid-e-Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan and chief of Tehrik-e-Jaffaria Pakistan (TJP) was brutally murdered at Madress Jamia Ma'rif Islamia in Peshwar by an order of the dictator Zia ul Haq. Quaid was going for morning prayers, when armed terrorists attacked him in.

 And the true lover of Ahlulbayt, a  true follower of Quran, a righteous Alim.......left all Shias alone in full of grief and sorrow.

"O! soul that art at rest!-Return to your Lord, well-pleased (with him), well-pleasing (Him),-So enter among My servants,- And enter into My Garden.- In the Name of Allah,the Beneficent, the Merciful". (al-Quran)

Imam Khomeini's Message on the Maryrdom of Quaid:

"I stress (emphasize) you to keep the thoughts of Shaheed Hussaini alive".
