This pattern was designed to commemorate a very meaningful sermon that my Pastor, William B. Fletcher of Hill Creek Baptist Church, VA, gave on faith during hardships and fear. Regardless of what we are facing God, is faithful to us. Despite any overwhelming task or hurdle we encounter, we must nevertheless have faith in God. One of the above verses (Luke 5:5-6) in the design tells of Jesus directing Simon to throw out the fishing nets again (the disciples had been fishing all night with no luck).
And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at they word I will let down the net. And when they had done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net
brake. (KJV)
This is the sort of faith for which we should strive. When we encounter trials, the small word of nevertheless should bring comfort.
