The IMARC computer room project has as its main objective to develop the use of the computer as a helping tool in the educative chores for students and teachers.
Some of the most importants aspects in the information tools in education that were used to base this project, to help students and teachers activities, are: The multimedia technology and telecommunications. Some examples are: students can search, organize and present some information; and the communication and exchange of experiences with children from other schools in our country or any place in the world (through the InterNet).
This technology has let teachers support the studying plans for preschool and elementary school. For both of them, aquiring informatical culture, and search of information in computarized data bases.
The computer room also works as a language laboratory for the English courses.
We´re planning to create an electronic library, connected to national and international libraries and information centers.
This project is a big effort of IMARC to give its scholar community the opprtunity to go along with the actual technologies.
