The total immersion program is designed to prepare
children to our bilingual elementary school. It is our purpose as a school,
that thechild stays here through all the years of elementary shool. We
emphasize teaching English as far as speaking (repeating), and knowing
how to listen.
We expose children during
four and a half hours to a language unknown for most them, and which they
get to adopt daily through their normal life. One of our most important
goals in this program is to make children stop translating mentally from
English to Spanish and automatically their thinking would be in English.
For this program to work succesfully, we need
a mature student, parents who would give all the necessary support, and
very well prepared teachers, willing to give the best out of them.
