SUPPLEMENTS 

      What are supplements?  Basically, they are a compound or nutrient that is 
      taken in addition to your diet.  Supplements include vitamins, minerals, 
      herbs, etc.  There's a lot of them out there.  Below are the one's I take.  If 
      you get a chance, check out the book called "Sports Supplement Review" 
      by Bill Phillips.  He's put together just about everything you want to know 
      about supplements - all types of supplements, what they do and don't do, 
      what to take, what not to take, etc.  Good stuff! 

      Vitamins  

      Take your daily vitamins!  I use Ultra Mega vitamins which I purchase from 
      GNC. 

      Protein Shake 

      To build muscle, it's important to give your body lots of protein.   I 
      supplement my diet with protein shakes (like "Designer Protein" or 
      "Myoplex" available at GNC).  This type of protein is derived from whey or 
      soy products.  I try and get an extra 80 grams of protein per day from these 
      supplements. 

      Creatine  

      This is today's wonder drug in the bodybuilding world.  I've taken it before 
      and am impressed by how well and quickly it works to increase weight and 
      muscle size.  I've used Phosphagen and Phosphagen HP from EAS (both 
      available at GNC). 

      HMB  

      I tried HMB for about 3 months.  My verdict is still out on this one.
