I Confess
I don’t want to admit it
It’s much easier to lie,
But with the pain that I now feel
It’s so easy just to cry.
I trusted you with all my soul
I gave to you my heart,
But when you gave it back to me
It was torn apart.
You used me for all that you could
Then dumped me the first chance,
I never thought it’d end this way
I’d loved you from the first glance.
But now I see you true side
And I’m glad you let it show,
Because your heart is cold as steel
And that I do now know.
I may have loved you from the start
To this I will confess,
But I’m glad I found out now
My life would have been a mess.
