Sweet Forgiveness
Sweet forgiveness that only saints possess, It will never be mine for there is nothing I can confess. Dark secrets from everywhere that keep me up at night, They ponder in my mind and cause me fright. They bring me to a small room to prove only insanity, They come and whisper in my ear the same way and for eternity. Pick me the blackest flowers with petals so long, From the emptiest garden where there plays my insanity song. I’ll sit here in my empty room with it in my hand, Peel it naked and alone watch it stand. All alone now in this awkward place, I can feel the tears run down my cold and ugly face. Cries of sadness, cries of hate, Cries of death that now lead me to an awful fate. A place of suffer, a place of greed, A place where death is our only need. Flowers bloom and flowers die, And the petals of my flowers upon I do cry… By: Jason Anthony |
