Noldorin Elf of the House of Fëanor, with his twin brother Amrod the youngest son of Fëanor. He swore the Oath of Fëanor and accompanied his father to Middle-earth, where he lived with Amrod in the plains and forests of East Beleriand. Although the twins kept to themselves during the Siege of Angband, in times of war they fought along side their brother Maedhros. Amras and Amrod were slain during the attempt of the sons of Fëanor to recover the Silmaril by force from Elwing at the Haves of Sirion.
Amras and Amrod were alike in appearance and temperament. They seem to have been among the more mild-mannered of the sons of Fëanor, and were great hunters.
