Elda of the Teleri, brother of Elwë and with him leader of their Kindred on the Great Journey. After Elwë disappeared in Beleriand, Olwë gathered many of the Teleri at the Mouths of Sirion. As King of the Teleri Olwë led them to Tol Eressëa and Alqualondë, and during the revolt of the Noldor he refused to give his swan-ships to Fëanor.
Olwë's daughter was Eärwen; his wife was not named.
