Nandorin Elf living in Doriath, one of the chief counsellors of Thingol. Jealous of Túrin, Saeros taunted him at table and was injured when Túrin threw a goblet at him. The next day Saeros attacked Túrin, was overcome, and fell over a cliff while fleeing. Túrin, fearing the wrath of Thingol, departed on his first outlawry.
