Article 4 - Memberships
All By-laws are numbered sequentially. All new By-laws will continue in this sequence.
At the end of each By-law, in square brackets [ ], there is the original Constitutional Article number.
| 1 | Individual membership shall entitle the holder to both voice and vote at General Meetings upon remittance of the annual membership fee and is restricted to those residing in the Imperial Realm who have attained nineteen (19) years of age by the time of application for such membership. [4.01] |
| 2 | Life memberships may be granted to those individuals who have served the Society as either Emperor or Empress or any person awarded this distinction by the reigning Monarchs and upon ratification by the Executive. Life membership shall entitle the holder to both voice and vote at General Meetings, and exempt the holder from remittance of the annual membership fee. [4.01] |
| 3 | Affiliate membership shall entitle the holder to voice and no vote at General Meetings upon remittance of the annual membership fee and is restricted to those not residing in the Imperial Realm who have attained nineteen (19) years of age by the time of application for such membership. [4.01] |
| 4 | Junior membership shall entitle the holder to no voice and no vote at any meeting upon remittance of the annual membership fee to those between the ages of sixteen (16) and nineteen (19) years of age. [4.01] |
| 5 | A member shall cease membership if they fail to pay the annual membership fee. Any member may withdraw from the membership in the Society by notifying the Executive in writing, of their intention. Membership fees are non-refundable. Membership expires at midnight on the date of the Annual General Meeting, which must be held within forty-five days after the Coronation night. [4.01] |
