Intelligence can mean the difference between triumph and failure. In a galaxy beset by terrorism, subversion, and organized criminal activity, Imperial Intelligence provides decision makers with the vital information needed to maintain the peace and safety of the Galactic Empire.

Imperial Intelligence agents keep watch every hour of every day in loyal duty to the Empire. Their job is more than simply gathering information - It is warning the Imperial military forces of impending crises, especially those that threaten the immediate interests of the Empire and its citizenry. It is warning the Empire of long-term dangers, such as the threat of terrorists amassing illegal weaponry. It is safeguarding public security from subversives and criminals. It is sending out agents and commandos to meet these dangers and threats, both in domestic and galactic affairs.

The IIHQ is an independent Directorate, responsible to the Emperor through the Ubiqtorate. IIHQ's mission is to support the Emperor, the Imperial Advisory Council, and all officials who make and execute Imperial Security policy, by:

Providing accurate, comprehensive, and timely intelligence on Imperial security topics

Conducting counterintelligence activities, special activities, and other functions related to intelligence and Imperial security, as directed by the Emperor

To implement these policies, the IIHQ are split into departments, each of which are doing their utmost to maintain peace by adding their skills as another layer of security to the Empire. The Departments and their functions are:

Department of Cryptology: Encoding and Protecting classified information, as well as processing classified information that comes from a source dangerous to the Empire

Department of Analysis: production and dissemination of all-source intelligence analysis on key issues.

Department of Operations: A clandestine collection of Intelligence and Mission Planning.

Department of Research & Development (R&D): creates and applies innovative technology in support of the intelligence collection mission.

Department of Public Affairs: the principle communications focal point for the media and general public.

Administration & Archives: responsible for all departments, this is where the decisions are made and the information is processed

Training Division & Center: responsible for training Intelligence Agents in all matters needed
