Chapter 8
Vegeta woke up from his sleep as the sun rays from the window touched his face. When he
opened his eyes, he found Bulma still sleeping on top of him, using him as a bed. Last night has
been one of the best nights he ever had although he didn't want to admit it to himself and Bulma.
He looked at his blue haired partner and marvelled at her beauty. He watched her head rise and
fall with his muscular chest as he breathed. "Man, what a woman," he thought with a smirk. He
kissed Bulma lightly on the forehead and putted her aside. He then got up from the bed and
putted his clothing on.
Vegeta left the room and went outside. He sat on top of a small hill and looked at the brightening
sky. "A new day has come, the day she'll marry that human draws nearer. I'm running out of
time, I must think of a way to claim her. She doesn't want to go with me and killing her future
mate won't help either. Hmm, I have to prove to her father that I'm worthy of marrying his
daughter. But how? Is such action needed? I'm a Saiyan Prince and she's just a weak human,
she's the one who should prove to me if she's worthy of marrying me. Has she? Yes, she has, she
stood up for me when her friends judged me harshly. She fed me, clothed me, took me to her
home, and continues to love me even though I'm rude to her in return. What a woman, she's truly
worthy of me. ...but am I worthy of her? Does she deserve someone like me?" he told himself
mentally. Vegeta was smart and cunning and could find an answer to any question. Somehow,
answers for the questions he just asked himself seem to escape his mind. He looked at the sky
and sighed heavily.
Vegeta then felt a soft hand on his shoulder. He turned around and found Bulma smiling at him.
"Good morning Vegeta," she greeted with a smile. The Saiyan Prince remained silent. "Thanks
for last night, I had a great time."
"It was my pleasure."
"Really? We should do that again then, looking at beautiful scenery, swimming, and that little fun
we had in the bathroom, it was a perfect day."
"It sure was..." Vegeta smirked. "...and I wonder how long it would last," he then told himself
mentally and sighed again.
Bulma looked at Vegeta's eyes and found sadness. She wondered what could be disturbing him,
they had a perfect day, he's with her and she's with him. "Hey, is something wrong?"
The Saiyan Prince took a big breath. "Do you love me? Do you think I'm worthy of you?"
"Yes, but --"
"Do you think that I love you? Have I ever made you feel that I love you?"
"Well, you can be stubborn, annoying, egotistical, and selfish, makes me want to get a mallet and
pound that vegetable head of yours sometimes... but yes, I think that you love me. You haven't
said those three words to me in a long time but I know and believe how you feel towards me."
"All this time I've been rude to you, why didn't you leave me like what you did to that Yamcha?"
"I don't know, but deep down I knew I love you and you love me. Hmm, unlike Yamcha, you
were loyal and of all the humans in the universe, you trusted me. Loyalty and trust are what kept
us together. Why are you asking all of these questions? Is it because I'm getting married with
another man? Do you think there's no hope for us, our future?"
". . . . . ."
"Don't lose hope, somehow, I know everything would be fine."
Vegeta stood up and pulled Bulma towards him for a hug. He then traced her chin and slowly
slanted his face to hers for a kiss.

Meanwhile:
Dr. Briefs was sitting in his office while doing paper work. His phone then rang and he picked it
up to answer it. "Hello? Who is this? Ahh, Burns, it's nice to hear from you. What do you
want?"
"I was just asking when we should set the wedding's date. By the way, is your daughter aware of
this event and has she agreed to marry my son?"
"Why, yes she has. She's thrilled to marry your son. Hmm, why won't you decide when the
wedding should be?"
"Fine, does two days from now sound good?"
"Yes, it's perfect, I have no important clients on that day."
"It's agreed then, two days from now. See you at the wedding Briefs."
"You too Burns," Dr. Briefs said and hang up. "It looks like I have to go to mom's now to get
